i can hear my poor little brain ticking along thinking of what to do for this challenge. Sometimes i feel that i struggle cos i'm not allowed to take my camera anywhere near work premises so i don't get in the habit of carrying it around with me, but that's just an excuse. I will get a photo.0

There's two sorts of "everyday photographer" I think - the sort that take a camera everywhere, and shoot what they see, and the sort that have to make a special effort to get "camera time" and so shoot less often. The question is, which type produces the better shots?!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks EH, I googled Macro photography and found a couple of interesting sites with some tips on. If nothing else this challenge will help me to start learning about the camera. I have taken quite a few photos so far this week and today I had a go with the macro on my works canon ixus but none that are sufficient for this I think. I will have to have a really good think. I am very much a take the camera out and snap things - would love to be a special effort camera time kinda girl but never seem to make the time for it.
Do any of you post pictures on redbubble? You can sell your pictures etc on there. I have some there but to be honest they are not great. I started with big intentions. My friend has sold quite a few.
EH I meant to say that I really love the Moon picture on your site. I could imagine that would look fantastic as a big canvas. I would love to buy something like that for my bedroom. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Ahhh, yes, the moon shot. It's a picture that I like too, but it also infuriates me as numerous times I have gone out at night well wrapped up, coat, fleece, scarf, hat, gloves etc, with the camera and tripod, and haven't managed to get anything half as sharp and clear as this in spite of the preparation. That one was literally a glance out of the window, "oh wow - look at that moon! Gotta get a shot of that!" grab camera and dash outside kind of pic! One thing I might add to my list of shots to try next year while we are away is a long exposure of the stars, so they make trails if you know what I mean.
I am determined that I am going to try to do more night-time photography this winter. It's the ideal time to do it as it gets dark so much earlier you don't have to be out in the late evening just to get what you're after. Trip to London required sometime before too long then maybe!
This challenge must be having an effect as this morning I glanced out of the window, saw something I liked, and immediately went to grab the camera full of enthusiasm for getting the shot. First time for a while I've done that!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'd love to join in but might not have a chance to do the first challenge.

hi thought i'd be the first person to stick their neck out and post my meagre offering.
As you can tell i'm as far from a pro as is humanly possible to get, but i've gone more with the question mark. I'm amazed that after the weather we've had of late and the fact that there's very few leaves left on the trees around here that our poor little clematis still has a lone flower on it. It's almost as if this flower is fighting a lonely battle against the rain and the cold weather it has endured of late and it will face again shortly.
I'm not good at adding photo's to threads and i'm not sure what size people expect them to be, but i'm sure with instruction i can change what's necessary.
I've had a quick try at making the picture larger but in Photobucket that just makes it look terrible. Its a much nicer photo in my photo editing software than it appears in Photobucket if that makes sense?0 -
Wow LT that is great what a lovely photo - now don't give yourself a hard time, its not a competition - its just a bit of fun to make us get out with out cameras - absolutely anything goes I think
- is that a clematis - the onset of winter is certainly pretty impressive if it is - well done you - I'll be brave in a bit x
I predictably - went out and took a picture outdoors of some birds on a walk today (my argument in my head - having not read the 'scope' properly was that I wasn't trying to take a picture of flowers - which I always do!)
I think photobucket can be a bit like that.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
