'due to the circumstances surrounding the baby's birth we cannot have the baptism at our church'
... make of that what you will.. this is the church my other 8 children have been going to for the last 19 years!!
Guess who has an email going straight off to the bishop of York.. Hateful spiteful sanctimonious evil disgusting dispicable man (the vicar not the bishop.. he is very pleasant by all accounts)... Obviously FW has bad-mouthed me to him as well.. I think he is forgetting who left the house and who came home with things he shouldn't after being with people he shouldn't have been with doing things he shouldn't have!
Now.. do I ALSO send an email in response saying exactly why he did leave.. down to the last insect??? OR.. do I take him up on his offer of 'talking about this very carefully' and telling him in person.. hhhmm... Looks like she is being baptised at the church OH's mum attends!
Then we have the logistics of getting at least 19 people 120miles for 10:30am on a Sunday..

I think writing the letter to the Bishop is an excellent idea. I used to be a baptism visitor for my church.. I *think* that according to church rules they are not supposed to turn any baptism request down. I'll try and dig out the reference if you like?

Oh, Pigpen...
Talk to the man of the cloth in person. Tone of voice will be essential in this case. You probably won't even have to go into minute detail.

It's the Archbishop of York surely?
He's a great bloke! I'm sure he'll try and sort something out for you....
Although personally I would take great delight in discussing this with said vicar...and pointing out exactly what FW did! Not using that language you understand...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

WOW to this....you have 9 children! Thats nearly a footy team...very impressed. Am obviously too new to know this so apologies.
As for the rest that just seems very unfair although I don't know anything about these things. I don't blame you for being mad.
Anyway i have been very busy setting up a trap for our still awol rabbit! Then went for dinner. My kids are having some photos done tomorrow so all sorted outfit wise! Off to bed as have really sore eyes which think must be tiredness. Goodnight all. xxIf music be the food of love then play on"No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow". ღ ~Maya AngelouDoing it for my kids. I think you should speak to the vicar in person pigpen because I know you can be very persuasive - its only right that he should hear both sides - I think it is very rude to turn you down by email and as onestep says I am not sure they cant refuse but it may be different in england.
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last
