Natty68 big hugs, thats been a very rough week hun.

    What's been done.
WM on and all dirty clothes collected and put into piles.
    DW been emptied and refilled.
    DD's bed been stripped.
    Kitchen been s&s.
    Livingroom cleared.
    All bedroom windows opened.

    What next to do.
    Dust livingroom.
    Take down lampshades and wash.
    Strip boys bed.
Clean fireplace out and oil it.
Sort the clean washing and put away.
    Wash sofa and chairs.
Gather all wellies, shoes and put away.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Hi Sockdrawer - how did you get on in your HHB?

    I have:
    - taken the left-over lamb from the bones
    - made lamb stock and put in low oven
    - made lamb stew and put in low oven
    - reserved some slices of meat for sandwiches
    - put the rest of the scrappy meat in the fridge: Scotch Broth later in the week, once that stock is ready and cooled
    - made a loaf of bread (it's turning now in my mixer/dough hook)

Cleared up the counter a bit and made a cuppa - 50 minutes have gone, but lots of food on the way, which feels good on such a miserable day like today!

Got to wash up; and I may make an apple plait while I have the mixer out. Then sitting room - promise! First a well-earned cuppa.

    MissH

Natty - that's terrible news. Such dreadful timing for you all, too. xxxxx

I am a late starter again. But in for this week again :)

DH can't work because of the snow so he is busy clearing out and remaking the fire. A job I hate as it is bad for my lungs.

Our new Miele cat and dog arrived on Saturday so I am going to play with it when he has finished. It is much lighter than my old vacuum so hope I can manage it. Then I can really join in with flying.

Poor bunnies. At least they will be safer and warmer now.

natty I am sorry to hear about your MIL and DH's aunt. I hope that both have been caught early enough. Hugs and prayers for all of you.

Natty 68 - I am sending love and praying for you and yours. I know how you feel about Rememberance Week as I too feel the same. Found out some years ago that my Nans brother who she lost at 17 and never ever knew what had happened to had died in WW2 in Italy. He has a memorial there so my Mum and I are planning one day to visit him in my Nans memory and pay our respects. I wear a red poppy badge (the metal stud type ones) all year round now on my hat along with a breast cancer one in memory of my aunt. its amazing how deeply it touches you when you find these things out. I remember as a child being a flag bearer for Brownies in a Rememberance Sunday parade, I do hope I am home from hospital so can watch the parades on TV.

Vanilla - Big cuddles to you and yours. Poorly DD and DS1 bet your being kept busy today.

Sockdrawer - snow, SNOW brrrrrr I know it is cold here but the idea of drifting snow chills me to the bone.

Big hugs, spoons and loves to everyone else too..

This morning for me has started out brilliantly!!!!!!!!!

I am sat here caressing my signed copy of James Blunts new album and listening to it. Ohhhh it is good!!!!!!
Will have to re-connect my MP3 and upload it for hospital. I placed a pre-order so got a signed copy with p!ay and I am over the moon with it. So far it is a bit different to his normal stuff and to be honest not quite so cheesy so I am now loving him even more!!

I am all wrapped up in my big fluffy 'going out in the cold' jumper in the house! My fire is lit and is just getting going so in a couple of hours the bungalow should start to warm up a bit. Jeezzzz it is so cold!!
Hope the hospital is warmer than it was in September as when I was in then it was freezing one of the elderly ladies opposite me spent all night every night complaining about the cold. Even I had to ask for an extra blanket and I never normally get bothered by it.

Ok, slowish start here again. Didnt sleep too well, looks like something was in the air last night as a lot of us struggled. I am just having my second coffee then a light lunch before I make a move.

    Listy time...
Might be in anything from 1 night to 7 nights so plan for the worst then nothing is left to worry about :D

Clean out fridge/veggie rack - freeze/use what I can or give to mum so none is wasted
    Empty all bins
    Clean out fire
    Bring in coal and sticks
Pack hospital bag - DO NOT FORGET MEDS
    Clean cat litter tray
    Sort out cat food
    S&S Bathroom
    S&S Kitchen
    Sweep/Mop/Hoover all rooms
Wash/Dry/Iron all possible (1 load washed, dried and put away)
Attend and run support group Tues eve - Hand over key
Sort out 2 bags with pjs/undies/flannel/towel in to leave out in case needed in hospital
[STRIKE]Iron curtains and then get Dad to help put back up curtain rail and curtains in bedroom[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Charge up MP3 player and update music
    Dig out sudoku book[/STRIKE]
    Order repeat prescription
    Binbag dance throughout
Chase candles if no letter on Monday
    De-clutter LR and bedside cabinet
    Study, STUDY, STUDY!!!!
Call sister and Marie on Tuesday

Ok off to ring drs for pills and then chase my candles...can do those sitting on my rear lol.. and update MP3 again will James Blunt nom nom nom...
