Ok so the cars going strong still
Was thinking about one of them Diesel remap boxes that you plug in to release a few more HP and torque
Does anyone have experience with these plug in type of boxes? Is the power difference noticeable?
Reason i'm thinking of doing it as they clearly state that due to the increased torque you'll need fewer gear changes so the car should be even better on fuel
The only thing im concerned about is if they raise the fuel pressure inside the fuel rail i presume the boost pressure will also be increased thus making the turbo work even harder. Laguna's are renowned for flimsy intercoolers - Luckily mine has the updated version though
Are they worth the £200-300 layoutIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
Taking into account the cost, the small increase in power, the higher wear rates on all the moving parts, imo its a complete waste of time, effort and money.0

I presumed this thank's
they claim
BHP - 120 to 155
Torque - 270nm to 360nm
massive gains but costly at £300 for the box.
dont wanna strain the engine anymore seeing as its on 148k now !If Adam and Eve were created first

I know
All my cars have been unleaded except my first car, a Vauxhall Nova which ran on 4-star lol !!
I have noticed though that unleaded fuel pump handles usually aren't all gank with fuel but every diesel pump i've come accross over the last few weeks has always felt oily if you get me.
I know Diesel is oil based but all the pump handles i've used stink of the stuff and is rather rank
Gonna carry some wet wipes in future me thinks.
Also got a long run planned in 2 weeks from London to Exeter. So i hope she does well on fuel as i'm only getting an average of 37.4mpg at the mo. I think it's due to serious traffic sitting and stuff so Motorway should be much betterIf Adam and Eve were created first

I got my hand covered in diesel this lunchtime, i agree, every pump is plastered in it...
Does seem odd, ive never understood how any fuel can get on the handle itself..nozzle out of holder, into car, out of car, into holder....at what point do some people put their hand infront of the spout and wipe it on the handle????0 -

in my opinion not worth the money especially on a 145k miler.
putting that on to release some horses could well kill engine/clutch/DMF0 -

Thank's
I was under this impression but wanted to ask for advice anyway.
The cars not slow just suffers with a lilttle more turbo lag than i'd like, it's either deal with that or i've got to adjust my driving style lol
Diesels once going actually suprise me but setting off in 1st to second leaves me always waiting for the turbo to provide boostIf Adam and Eve were created first

Pretty well all diesels are like that, my last car was a peugeot 407 coupe v6 diesel 205hp. Great on the move but lethal at a round about due to turbo lag. I understand BMW have better turbo's.
My current car is a jag x type 2.2d which again has turbo lag but on the move is very spritley. You just accept you are going to lose the traffic light grand prix against a hot hatch but feel smug with thought of 40+mpg

Get a pack of disposable plastic gloves, you get 50 or 100 for little money, and if you only use one at a time, they last twice as long!!0
