And after saying I didn't realise you had a diary, I've subscribed - and realised I've actually posted on the first page of it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Shows how much attention I've been paying! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hehe - well I did warn you, it's mostly garden, garden, a bit of studying, quite a bit of aargh I need a new job, and some sums and stuff :D

Had a lovely afternoon of tootling and cake in Cheery's lovely kitchen - we might both be a bit rusty but I think it sounded OK! Unfortunately I had to dash back to work for a 5.30 meeting grrr.. but that didn't last too long and I was in such a good mood I kind of sailed through it :)

Bit of a grumpy evening - mostly on Mr S's behalf, he was having trouble with his bike (one of the brakes fell off and he had to attempt to fit a new one which turned out to be a difficult task), the laptop was playing up, and the boiler is being temperamental (as it seems to do in the summer)! Still I managed to make quite a nice tea of sausages from the farmers market and cauliflower cheese with the interesting addition of some homegrown turnips that needed picked.. actually really nice!

Bit behind with my study plan this week - I can see there being lots of reading over the weekend - but I did get half a chapter of philosophy done last night. Also spent a bit of time reading this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wild-Natural-History-Photographic-Guides/dp/0330280694 - which arrived in the post... fantastic and sooo 70s-looking!

Very tired today, but hey it's nearly the weekend....

Oh my goodness.. a strange person on the internet just made me nearly cry.. in a good way. Just popped on to check my Twitter account (the one I set up to go with my blog) and found this http://saparisphotos.wordpress.com/2011/06/29/poesie-de-larrosoir-charming-watering-cans/ - I am so touched... :o

    Moi aussi, Karma.

More mundane stuff - payday today, so time for a quick re-visit of the budget which looks a bit like this:

    In savings account £500
    ----
    In bank £970
    On card £100
Job 2 £300 (probably more but erring on side of caution)
    £1370

    Rent £350
    Debt £320
    Phone £15
Farm £100 (if they ever get back to me grr)
    £785

    Balance £585

Not quite as healthy as I expected as I suddenly realised I hadn't paid debts last month and had to borrow some from savings account :o Still not bad though, and I'll hopefully still be able to stick a bit more into savings towards the end of the month.

It's Friday! :j It's a lovely sunny day - woke up really early for some reason but feeling full of the joys of, well, the weekend really. Had a really productive evening, got a chapter of Phosophy and a chapter and a half of English, plus a half hour of tootling (I was even really good and played some scales). Also remembered about the ginger beer I'd bottled on Sunday which the recipe warned had to be put in the fridge after three days to avoid explosions... oops. Opened one bottle to check if it had fermented and well, lets just say, it very definitely has.. and after a small ginger beer shower I filled the fridge up with the rest!

Need to remember to do second job timesheets this weekend - it's actually going to be closer to £500 now I've done the sums properly, possibly even more as no idea when the person I'm covering for is coming back.

Not sure what we're doing at the weekend - I've got another chunk of studying to get through but other than that, hopefully some walking/cycling and other nice things :)

It is indeed. Not sure about impressive - the cat certainly doesn't think so, and she keeps trying to join in!

Just put in another bid on the freelancing site (not heard from the one who was supposed to be phoning this week) - I reckon it's not a major effort to put in maybe one bid a week and see if anything comes out of it.

The ginger beer is supposed to 'mature' for two weeks now, not sure if I can wait that long to find out what it's like to drink (rather than wear)!

Right, going to finish reading this chapter...
