Well yes rather gruesome, but at least we know we have decent pest-control! A friend of mine is off to get a cat from a cat rescue place tomorrow, partly because she's always wanted a cat, and partly because she has a major mouse problem in her flat. I'm almost as excited as she is about her new cat!! :D

There are more interesting rumblings about second job that may result in quite a bit more work/ money.. nothing definite yet but could be good!

that was the origonal reason we got exodia ... the neighbour next door ( r.i.p) really was very old and in lived in squalor .... not fully her fault but we had many a mouse invasion because of the state of her home ... lovely lady ... just wasnt fit to keep the house

i'm liking these rumblings ... am thinking of asking the universe for some things myself ...

    Go for it El.

Yaaaawnnn.. sleepy this morning. Not a busy weekend as such but a few late nights - Friday stayed up watching BBC4 thing about Primal Scream and 90s indie, Saturday out for lunch then theatre in the evening (which was very good, really funny), watched Dr Who on iPlayer when we got in.. and then Sunday I finally tidied my heap of clothes away, did a bit of studying and gardening (the garden loved the bit of rain we got!) and ended up having a late night again doing bits and pieces.. not quite sure what but it was suddenly 11.30! And then woken up very early by the sun... yawwwwn!

This week is really busy - meeting in York tomorrow, followed by going to a talk in the evening; and away all day in Swindon on Friday, followed by another talk thingy with Stuart Maconie when I get back. Lots of work to do in the meantime (although a bit stuck with what I need to do at the moment cos computer says no) and need to make a start on next essay.

    Oh yawwwwn!

"Efficiency and effectiveness", remember! Good luck with it all, it *does* sound busy.

I don't feel very efficient or effective at the moment! Sleepy, yes...

Yesterday was good, but felt like a lot of wasted time on trains and buses - tried to work on the train but everything I needed to do was online and I couldn't get connected for any length of time. The lecture last night was really good, went out to Strada beforehand with a 2 for £12 voucher as well - very nice pizza! Ploughing through work today (feeling quite negative about work at the moment, not really sure why as nothing really bad is happening, just feel hassled about it all but I'll get through it), attempting to make start on essay tonight, catching up with second job stuff inbetween (it's normally fairly quiet when I do this holiday cover thing, but there's been lots of new sign-ups to deal with).

Isn't that horrible when you can't use travelling time? I hate it if I'm on a sizeable journey but there are lots of changes, for instance, so I can't settle to much.

    Hope tonight goes smoothly tho.

Yep made a good start on the essay last night - two hours of reading/ making notes when I got in (and then suddenly realised it was 8pm and we were starving - Mr S had been working on his course too).

Good news from yesterday - car passed MOT with nothing needing done :T and Mr S went to the doctor about coming off his anti-depressants and is now on a gradually reducing dose for the next few weeks. Little bit concerned in case he isn't actually better and finds he is really miserable without them but I don't honestly think that will be the case.

Had a fairly productive first hour at work getting through emails - is it really only 10am though?! Not looking forward to tomorrow as am off to a meeting in Swindon - very early start, lots of wasted time on train (I might take course books but I find it hard to concentrate without getting a bit dizzy), and not home till 8pm. It will be useful and Oh well, plans for the weekend are to sort out the greenhouse - lots of things getting too big to be in there, maybe go swimming, do some more essay, and go to local farmers/ craft market on Sunday.

Sounds lovely, except for getting dizzy on the train :(

But very glad for you both that Mr Squizz is reducing on the anti-ds.

I feel more like I'm scrabbling around at the moment, but hopefully once things calm down a bit I'll be able to look back and see I've actually achieved something!

Always been a bit rubbish at travelling - I could never read on a bus or in a car and only just about manage on planes and trains. At least I don't throw up dramatically now like I used to do when I was a kid! :rotfl:

I'm useless at travelling too. Can't sleep on planes etc either which is a real pain on long hauls. A few weeks ago someone suggested cruises as being good, they said how the gentle drone of the engines and the rocking of the boat was so soothing - it would have been my worst nightmare!!
