Finally remembered to apply for a student card! Mr S has got one and we've taken advantage of discounts in shops, but thought I should get one of my own so we can both get student tickets for theatre etc.

Also done a bit of of plotting/ finding out about future courses - am awaiting a reply to an enquiry.. fingers crossed.

Excellent on the student card - very norty not to get it before now!

Travelling - yep, here's another one with projectile vomiting issues :) I can't sleep while travelling, tho sometimes I *fall* asleep, which is a bit different, and of some concern now I don't live at a station thats a terminus any more! Its more likely to be on a longer journey, tho, and only happens every couple of years :o

Morning! Well thankfully I managed not to be sick on the train on Friday (although I was facing backwards on the way down.. yuck). I also managed not to sleep much on Thursday night, not to sleep on the train, and not to go to bed until 1am Friday night/ Saturday morning!

Was a very worthwile day work-wise though, did some serious bonding with people I will be working with quite a lot in future (it's amazing how you bond over coffee and the joys of WHSmith while waiting an hour and a half for the train you're booked on to go home..). Also got a solid plan written for my essay on the train back.

Mr S met me at the station and we went to the talk thing we'd booked - I was a bit tempted to say I was too tired but I think I'd got beyond tired by then - it was really enjoyable anyway so glad I went. Late night as I said... but up about 9 on Saturday, did some food shopping, gardening, bought badminton rackets (Mr S used to play quite a bit and wants to go again, I haven't played since school but it was one of the few sports I was OK at), attempted to play badminton in the attic (not enough space lol), watched Dr Who, then went out to the Thai place (vouchers again) for tea. In bed about 11.30pm, and woke up at 11.30am!!! So yesterday was a bit of a dozy day - popped to local farmers/ craft market and bought some bits and pieces and then just slobbed on the sofa. Oh no, I did do a bit of work for second job - that's been quite busy over the last week, lots going on.

Still tired though... will be a proper early night tonight I think. Today - quite a big list for work but nothing too horrible as long as I get left in peace! Making a start on typing the essay at lunchtime, maybe a bit more in the evening.

The rest of the week - work, essay (want to get it more or less finished this week), badminton, swimming, planning for London at the end of the month.

That sounds really nice - and well caught up on sleep too, even tho you feel tired today. Yikes to badminton, tho I'd rather do that than squash.

Was it nice being met at the station on Friday? Even if its not necessary, I like it :)

Squash was another option as he used to play that too - I've never tried it but it looks too erm hard and fast for me!

It was nice, although he did jokingly grumble that it meant he had to go a long way round to where the talk was! :p Reminded me of another occasion when he surprised me by meeting me off a train.. in the very early days... :)

Hmm yeah I keep finding things that I 'need to do' which are getting in the way of the other things I actually need to do!

Still really tired! Keep coming to life about 10pm so don't want to go to bed, then tired in the evening - definitely need to get on with this exercising thing.

Anyway, 800 words of essay written yesterday so that was a good start.

Lots of internetty things to do today - need to sort out work web pages as they've moved to a new system and all my tables have gone wobbly and my pictures disappeared. Also got a Twitter account for work as a publicity/ networking sort of thing, so that should be an interesting experience.

Good luck with that work-y stuff.

But Ooh! Miss! Miss! (imagine a little kid - or Hermione Granger - holding her hand up in class) - the exercise can really help with coming alive at 10pm - if you relax for ages in the evening, you recover enough to not be sleepy when you actually *should* be winding down, or at least thats what I did. Its why I started going out for walks in the early evening, if I didn't have the energy to do anything in the house, as well as getting fresh air.

Yep I remember that from when I was running a lot in the evenings. It's a vicious circle at the moment as we're really tired just after work so don't really feel like doing anything. Ah well Mr S has enquired about badminton courts at his work.. might try a walk or something this evening.. yaaawwn...!
