Morning.. yawwwwn! The opera was really good but am very tired this morning. Steady-ish day at work anyway and a quiet evening. Just booked to go to another lecture in May, about the King James Bible... aren't we cultured
Want to get my flute out at some point this week - I was so jealous of the orchestra last night.. sigh!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Forgot to mention (I really am half asleep today), I've been asked to do a bit of extra work for second job again (holiday cover for the people who run the scheme), so that's a handy bit of extra money towards course fees and things. I'm giving myself a £2000 target for the next 100 days again - but this time £1000 to debt and £1000 to fees. It's looking less likely I'll pay the debt off completely this year but the courses are slightly more of a priority at the moment.
Talking of money it'll be interesting to see what my payslip says this month with the tax changes, I don't think it's been the same any two months so far this year!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Afternoon! Not much news today.. last night we ate some of the amazing Italian bacon and I read lots. Work is sort of plodding on today - feel like I'm winding down to Easter hols although in fact next week is going to be quite chaotic I think.
Things are growing amazingly fast in the garden - turnips and chard I planted last Wednesday are already showing!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
OOh i spotted a turnip post
My garden seems to be coming along nicely as well- should soon have a nice display of flowers and veg. I am contemplating buying some new clematis, as i haven't found a nice one to nip a cutting off yetBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

No *sob* next Friday. But hey it's Friday, which is a good thing.. been a funny sort of week where it feels like I've not done very much, but it's all been bits and pieces. I've actually done quite a lot of work and a huge amount of reading at home.
Looking forward to a bit of gardening at the weekend - might tackle the fence/ dodgy wall if the weather's good. Also need more compost and to repot some things - I reused some compost I'd planted mizuna in and didn't think had done anything for some courgette seeds, and now both are growing in the same small pots!
Other than that, tidy up my clothes (currently more on spare bed than in wardrobe) and figure out what I want to pack for next week.
Booked coach tickets back from London for our May trip last night - £4.50 for the two of us. Would rather get the train but there was nothing that cheap. I think travel for that weekend has cost us £12 altogether.. can't complain!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Well done on the amazing deal on the coach tickets.0

I love megatrain! Only done it once, and the times are a bit weird, so it didn't suit for my June trip home to see my mum, but really worth looking at. But £4.50 is a fantastic figure, well done you!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
