Shhhh.. J'ai copie et colle les mots
(mais je comprends le, er, 'deal')
Hmmm MSE doesn't like accents. As in the ones over the 'e's not my French accent.. mind you that's probably a bit dodgy!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Oui! Deal, I get

Bonjour.. ah Karma I meant the Groupon 'deal' rather than our little deal.. anyway I hope you are busy trading
Last night I slightly disturbed and surprised Mr S by turning my essay notes into an almost finished 1500 word essay between tea and University Challenge :rotfl: Fairly pleased with it although it does need a few tweaks, need to do the referencing properly and have a couple of read throughs. I felt really restricted by the word limit - I really want to get into things in more depth! I have to admit to having a bit of a wobble when I read the marking criteria though - it's the first formal work I've done at this level so I'm a little bit worried I'm not quite up to scratch. Will be good to get the first one back and see what sort of things they're really looking for.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
That sounds great about the essay - I know what you mean about feeling restricted, its tough for people who like to use a lot of words
and this first one is bound to feel weird because you don't know *how* they interpret the marking criteria. I'm sure you'll do fine - you like it, remember!

I do really like it! I think I'm getting quite good at not using too many words, when fewer will do, but I want to get into the topics in more depth. I guess that's something I can look at coming back to later though.
I think the thing with the marking is.. I know I'm quite good at this stuff, so I don't want to let myself down.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
That makes sense - and now I'm double-sure you'll be fine
Off out to the town centre now, in a break in the rain - see you :kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! Ach.. I keep fiddling with the essay now, one of the pitfalls of doing it early! Some of it is necessary fiddling but I really should leave it alone for a few days. Started reading the next section of the course which is about emotion.. really interesting.
This week seems to be just ticking along slowly - tidied the spare room last night ready for the weekend, so all I have to do is hoover at some point before Friday. Also need to see if I can track down some restaurant vouchers for the weekend.
Right I have a load of routine email queries to plod through.. so off to plod!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Are you reading my mind?
I didn't leave the office yesterday, only 'fresh air' was walking to/from work in soggy weather, and I felt a bit rubbish last night. Sunny today so I'll be popping out at lunchtime.
