I didn't leave the office yesterday, only 'fresh air' was walking to/from work in soggy weather, and I felt a bit rubbish last night. Sunny today so I'll be popping out at lunchtime.

I understand scared!
Read https://www.bacp.co.uk - there'll be a page there on talking to a counsellor. Have a think about what you want from it; it might help to know about the approach of the counsellor you've been booked in to see....
Don't worry! They're there for you, remember, not the other way around.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I went for a walk - it was chilly!
Thanks for the link, I'll have a look at that. I know they will (should) guide people through anyway, just feels like a big step into the unknown. I sort of feel like I have to get it totally straight in my head what I want to talk about.
Anyway, not a great deal of news today. House is all sorted for the weekend. Most of today is taken up by a long meeting this morning. Roll on 5pm Friday!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Erm, not necessarily, it depends on what their approach is.
just feels like a big step into the unknown.
It is! The thing thats unknown, tho, is internal, undiscovered layers, very often, inside of you, not something outside.I sort of feel like I have to get it totally straight in my head what I want to talk about.
Hope that helps.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
That is very helpful, thanks.
It's Friday! :T Really tired and quite a lot to do today, but then a three day weekend with my lovely best mate visiting :j .. and spa and shopping and lots of nice food
And hopefully a bit of lazing about, feeling really tired this morning. Woke up early and stressed over some work stuff, one of which was a phone call I had to make this morning which turned out fine
Have managed not to spend any money this week, although am going for lunch with my work mentor today so that's a fiver or so. Fingers crossed I can keep spending fairly sensible this weekend.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Long weekend sounds fab Squizz -ENJOY !!!Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Yep, here's to long weekends! With best mates.
I identify with stressing about a phone call which then turns out fine, by the way - nearly always the way!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I was slightly stunned by the reasonableness of the phone call, it was all very sensible.. good stuff.
Yay to weekends... less yay to the forecast of rain, sleet and snow!!
Just had a lovely email from a student that makes the job seem really worthwhile.. sniff..Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

I did indeed... lovely spa morning on Saturday (although we had to walk there in the snow!), came out all scrubbed and soft and relaxed and had long lunch at Vietnamese noodle place - yum. Sunday went to the local city farm and to the museum - not been to the museum before, it was great! Very interactive and packed full of small children
Yesterday did lots of shopping.. well lots of wandering round shops, I just bought a couple of tops. Great to have a girly catch up too
Back at work today.. booo! Already feel stressed...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Yikes, a stress buildup already
sorry to hear that - stay with the weekend, weekend was lovely (use as mantra as appropriate)....
