I just finished a longish piece of work ... that thing is hysterical :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well sadly I didn't find one of those at home, but I did find a little tin which will keep them safe and fit in my handbag without taking up too much room.
Off to scary presentation course in a mo.. can't say I'm looking forward to it (was tempted to hide at home today). How bad can it be though?
Mr S worked late last night (was supposed to be about an hour but turned into 2 and a half!) so I had a little chill out on the bed with some guided meditation and the cat, followed by flute practice, revision (slight panic there that my brain can't retain everything), a bit of tootling on the clarinet (I can sort of play a few Christmas carols now :rotfl:), then Mr S came home so had dinner, then collapsed on sofa with a food magazine and some very nice French red wine (from Sainsburys, not from Paris!)
Anyway.. better go to course, hoping for a quiet afternoon afterwards and looking forward to flute lesson later.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Good luck on the course!
I just realised - you were in Paris last weekend, right? Guess who you shared Paris with ... my beloved Michael Shanks :kisses2: my email list has been flooded with pix all week:D:D

Oh yeah, Michael, sure we passed him wandering down the street with a baguette in his hand (no not really
)....
Course was OK - not too much scary stuff although I did have to do a mini-presentation but got fairly good feedback. Most useful thing I think was that one of the trainers is also a classical singer and had a good chat to her about voice relaxation and breathing exercises which could be very useful for flute playing as well. The main theme of the whole thing though was practice, practice, practice!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Glad it wasn't too scary! :T0

That sounds good about the training - lovely when all these things link up.

Yes you should've... but then we had to fill the spare space with cheese and wine on the way back so you might have had to stay there with Michael.. oh the hardship!

potatoes

The veg box does sound good, I'm sure some scrummy meals will be appearing chez Squizz2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hmm yep, burgers with big mushrooms last night.. corn on the cob tonight, yummy indeed.
Flute lesson last night and a bit of squeaky clarinetting later, and not much else done at all. Had an early night and a good sleep but woken up feeling a bit sniffly - sure I had a bit of hayfever the other day, not sure what this is now as it's cold and wet out there!
Work is fairly quiet today, so just plodding along...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
