Great. Another trigger for my EX postcode. I have to say though, I have been keeping an eye on the temperature (at the local weather station) and it seems to me that either they are REALLY behind with the triggers or they're being a bit naughty as we have had more than 2 consecutive weeks of below zero temperatures, yet its only showing as 2 triggers.
Anybody else found they've had the 7 consecutive days but no trigger?
they should update the postcode checker today around 5pm
  • I think its terrible that have to wait so long for these payments.. my house is freezing and i put about £15 a week if not more on gas.. and have had 3 triggers but no payments..

£15 a week. I wish! I live in the middle of nowhere and I'm on bottled gas at the cost of £50 a week! Oh, that is if the delivery man can get up the drive to deliver it!!
It's a 'pay as you go' as well so no cash, no gas. No opportunity to pay in installments :(

Still, I'm just grateful I have a good family who can help me out & a roof over my head.

Think of all the poor beggars who are literally sat out in this ....

This was a couple of weeks ago Richard. I was expecting a trigger but nothing happened. Still, I'm very grateful for any help and see it as a bonus. My gas bottles cost £50 a shot and I have to pay for them as and when they are delivered.

    I miss having mains gas!!

No just wtc,ctc and dla for my child. So I'm not entitled then?

No. You have to be on IBJSA, (IR)ESA or IS too.

  • So I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten a cold weather payment yet?

I know I'm entitled to it as I got it last year and still on the same benefit, ESA.

Does anyone have any idea how long it's going to take them to process the payments? I called on Friday and they said they were still processing them lol. I'm in the Nottingham area and theres been 3 triggers here so far.

4th trigger for PE19 area today:)The extra £100 that will be recieved by these 4 triggers is very much appreciated, it has allowed me to top up my gas metre by an extra £50 and the same for my electric metre.:T

Just checked and here in *ahem* sunny ole Kidderminster we have just had our 4th trigger. Feel quite fortunate to be honest. My mother in law receives attendance allowance, but doesnt qualify for the payments as her hubby hasn't quite reached retirement and is still working. Her heating gave up a few weeks back and although she qualifies for the warmfront and has an application approved, they can't do it until the end of March. She is running electric fires which cost a fortune and shes not got a brass halfpenny to rub together. Makes me feel very lucky.
