    >OK I win.<

Err, I think the rules said a 'a house you could just move into'. There's no granted permission on the church for a change of use...I suppose you could say you're so religious you pray 24/7...

Nice looking place - what happens about the graves and how likely are "travellers" to start camping out nearby?

I agree, the burial sites are a grave issue, but I fail to see the connection with 'travellers,' unless it is a reference to those in transit to the next world.

I was not proposing this church as a home , but as a business, since this was the preferred use, as stated by the agent. I just fell to imagining what kind of business it lent itself to. :o

It will probably end up as another willow craft workshop, pottery, or alternative therapy centre, as Wales is in such desperate need of those. :)

I'd be thinking of turning into a mosque with attached SAS-style training/outward-bound facility.

Nice idea ... except your church is creepy :)

Not really, just shot on a crappy day by one of the not-so-good agents in that area. Most agents in Wales seem to have no concept of how their photos look.

I saw one yesterday, shot by some idiot from Bairstow Eves, who'd somehow managed to get a pair of bright pink rubber gloves prominently into two of the photos.....although the house itself was completely empty. You have to be quite artistically challenged to do something as stupid as that. :rotfl:

Ah, but I think I can beat it by £5k. My church is in a less Welsh speaking area too, and I already have a business plan....

Yours looks a bit more work and seems to have a few more dead people in the garden. :)

If you look at the plan, yours isn't offering the garden, or the dead people, just the footprint of the building and a few metres around it.:p

Agree, mine is more work, but I bet it has more lead too. Ah, maybe that's what Ceridwen was on about, with her reference to......arrrgggh, I'm not going there!

Its offering the space around the church (enough to walk a lawn mower round :), TBF I don't see not owning and maintaining a grave yard as a down side. :)

I prefer the one with less lying down neighbours, near the sea, it does look like it could make a good conversion, yours is never going to that homely.:) (unless you are dead)

But business use for yours, antique center or auction house are always a good bet for such places.

12' wide's quite wide for a lot of houses... old and new.

Years ago I went to view a house with a friend - it was about 6' wide!!

It was on at £70k, in about 1988, then the crash of the late 80s started and just 3 months later (or less) the house next door to it, which was double the width, went on at £70k. Madness.

If a house was 12ft then take a hallway off it & its a 9ft room, thats pretty narrow.

But a lot of them don't look to be even 12ft.

Croydon is Surrey. Surrey is London.
    Croydon is London.
Right, Croydon is, ceremonially, in the London Borough of Croydon. It is part of Greater London.
But it's traditional, postal, county is still Surrey.
So depending on definitions it is in both.

Many places just within the Greater London boundary are like this. Barnet, for example, is in Greater London. But its correct postal address is Barnet, Herts.

Some parts of Surrey (e.g. Guildford), just like some parts of Hertfordshire, are not in any way part of London.
