Tesco - do you reuse your carriers?

I reuse mine all the time. I stuff one into my coat when going shopping and pull it out when needed. Sometimes I get funny looks, but I'm not terribly bothered. I've been to shops, bought one tiny thing and been offered a bag for it. Err, no thanks.
All I need now is an environmental alternative to using clingfilm to wrap my sandwiches.0 -
we use our own bags and boxes which we found around the store today but we never get any points. seeing as it was the first time we did it we didnt say anything and thought it would be added on automatically but on checking the receipt when we got home nothing extra was added on. :0(0

Funnily enough - i've just started using a wrap -n- mat today. Had to get it from America (not very ethical on the air miles i know - but the plane was probably coming this way anyway)

I got points the other day for not using carrier bags, and I have always used them, go figure!.
I reuse the bags from tescos for my wastebin under the sink, and I know that our local council separate out the plastic from our waste, so I guess that this could be classed as a little bit green.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
mr T gives me a green point every time I shop recently - regardless of whether I have reused a bag or not0

Hi All,
I tend to keep 2 M&S bags for life in my coat most of the time (I find these better as they are shorter than others and I'm short! lol), mainyl for shopping in Netto, but also Tesco sometimes!
In Tesco the other day, bought 6kg of cat food (had vouchers that expired at the end of this month from Purina), they didn't even offer. Only realised on the way back home! Ah well! lol
Cheers

if shopping is put below pushchair---3 points.
box
up to 4 points.
trolley bag

Thats really interesting - I have 3 bigish bags in the back of the car permanently, all from Sainsbury's a hessian one, a hard plastic orange one and a freezer bag, I use these religiously when I go to the shops, especially tescos - they're all bigger than the bag for life. Some assistants have decided that the size of the bags is equal to 9 points, 3 plastic bags to each of my big bags, others only give me 1 point per bag. There seems to be no logic to this, the lady one Saturday, claimed she didn't notice i was using my own bags ! The bright orange one! and CS only gave me 1 point per bag. So now I make a point of saying "I'm using my own bags, they hold about 9 plastic bags worth - 9 points please - and it usually works!0
