I hate Virgin with a passion - its the only thing I hate - they're purposely confusing, and sound like they're so reasonable when you complain, but still very little happens. You have my every sympathy!

And a good strategy with Waitrose, thats the one thing wrong with this place - no Waitrose!

It's funny, but until this latest wireless hub business, I was in fact the only satisifed virgin customer I know of. I've never had any problems until now ... boy oh boy are they making up for lost time now though :rotfl:.

Work was just gruesome today; I wondered what on earth was going on when I walked in & saw Goblin all dressed up in smart trousers & a jacket. Turns out that some finance bigwigs were visiting & being taken out for some serious @ss kissing & lunch.

Oh my goodness she was absolutely beaming with self important smugness. She told the bigwigs all about her job, her family & how she comes in late one day a week to do her water aerobic class ... I could tell they were both thrilled & fascinated by the relevance of this riveting bit of information.

She took them on a tour of the entire company, starting by my desk & completely & utterly ignoring me & sweeping them past me as though I wasnt even there :rotfl:.

Poor old Grumpy hates kissing @ss almost as much as he hates Gropey & did some very good mimes behind his back which I really struggled not to laugh out loud at. He's a very naughty Grumpy ;).

I have 2 days off & it wont feel long enough but I will be making the most of my time. The first load of laundry is done & DD has gone to her pyjama party having had a bath beforehand so I can just usher her off to bed when she gets in.

Another NSD here & another No Exercise Day too :o. Staying up too late & unable to drag myself out of bed in the morning. I have a dvd to watch that was delivered last weekend but apart from that I will be clearing & decluttering this weekend.

The 'just put it in that corner for now' bit of the living room is growing again, the 6ft shark has started to fade into the background & the scrap materials basket is overflowing under the dining table since DDs tipi project & I still havent found a better location for the cat basket & decorating equipment other than behind the sofa :o. I did suggest to DD that we build a wall & turn the area into a 'box/junk' room but she's not up for the challenge so I'm just going to have to sort it out, old electric sewing machine fitted into a table anyone ? :rotfl:

Grrrr I hate clutter & mess & how it sneakily creeps into your life while you're concentrating on something else :(

    bye for now
    xx

I'm with Souk on this one! And I love the description of Grumpy doing his mimes :D

Virgin, by the way - I was really happy with them for years. It all went to pot when I changed to cable from phone broadband - I'm sorry to tell you it took about six months to sort the mess out - not constantly, obviously, but every now and then there'd be a little rumble of the volcano, and the next piece of magma would shoot out :D

Oh you bullies - I dreaded getting up today knowing what I had to achieve, I know you're right though, I HATE clutter & get so cross when I cant get rid of it :(

Having been a bit of a lazy moany mare for the last couple of days I lay in til about 9, just reading & then got up & before I'd even had a drink I did the superfit workout :D

I've sussed myself out now, I can miss a day or two of exercise & then get back into it, but miss more than 3 & then I'm out of the habit, lost the energy buzz & sink back into my lazy old ways.

I need to lose 2lb by monday or I'll get all disheartened again .

After the workout I had a lazy long bath while the washing machine did it's magic & then made a start on 'that corner' .... first thing was to finally sort through all DDs old school books. At the end of each year she bring home all her books & folders & I say " ok, we'll have a look through those during the hols "...

Yeh right, it never happens & that first bag of books has multiplied into 5 & as we're nearly halfway to the next one so we did it today & it only took about 40 minutes. We've kept all the topics & literacy ones & ditched all the maths, spellings ( pages & pages of 19 or 20/ 20) & homework ones. I also 'recycled' a lot of the barely used books for shopping lists & notepads :).

All the old picture frames I've stored in the hope that I'll do 'something' with them are going back to the charity shops they came from. I havent done anything with them & I dont have storage space. If I feel the urge to be creative then I'm sure I'll find more.

The box of photos that I'm still only about a 1/4 of the way through sorting into albums have now been put away into the cabinet I bought off ebay & painted. I'd forgotten that it's empty :o.

I cleaned up my grandmothers old sewing machine & then had to try it out to see if it works. The light came on & it worked first time; must be 30 odd years since it was last used. I'm still undecided as to what to do with it. It should probably be serviced & there is a very local shop that can do that. I'm wondering if I should ask it's value & whether they may want to buy it ? It's definfitely not beautiful like the old fashioned hand one I bought from there, but it does work & is free.

Making curtains is something I've been meaning to do (for about 10 years ) & I do wonder whether I will now get on with it ... I feel it's unlikley & that if I do feel overwhelmed with the urge to sew, then I would rather buy a very cheap but small modern machine.

It was meant to be for DD1, but the chances of her ever using it are remote & unlike the table , book cases & old toys I'm storing for her, the sewing machine cant go in the garage or loft ... I'll call the shop on monday :(.

Got rather bored with all the delcuttering & having run out of milk first thing we were both gasping for tea so headed to Waitrose to get more supplies. I got a few reduced items & also used a 40p off voucher, didnt get much really, just milk, cheese, yogurts, bread, cereal bars for packed lunches, fries & fruit but still spent £18.31 .

My total grocery spend is now £151.20 & we will need more bread, fruit, veg & some sugar & buttery stuff as DD is baking cakes as I type to make sure the eggs get used up before they run out. It's now 10 days until payday & apart from the above mentioned stuff I know we can survive on the storecupboard.

Next year we'll have our own produce from the garden; never mind sewing, I'd rather be wearing my wellies & playing in the mud :D.

All the travel talk over on Karmas thread has stirred up my camper van longings again so I'm off to have a yearn at ebay & then do some more decluttering.

    bye for now
    xx
