Lula you need a gay husband [STRIKE]for these things. Mine came round last night and put my shower curtain back up. He changes my high bulbs too[/STRIKE]!
Sounds ideal Souk - send me one immediately. I had a fabulous one when I should have been doing my 'A' levels :undecided - he used to take me to the pub to recover after each exam & on one occasion (unknowingly) before . I wrote this amazing piece of french dialogue on about 12 sheets of paper ... and it would have been an A* if only it had been in spanish, which was the exam I was actually taking
That's quite enough nostalgia for a sober wednesday.
DD completed her tipi project although it became an entire settlement & I had to carry it in to shcool for her - thankfully today was rain & wind free.
I dropped in to the fuel up place at Tatco in nearby Chavtown & although the original price was £31.29 ... with my 5p off vouchers I only paid £ 29.99. saving myself a whopping £1.30 :rotfl:.
I managed to comeplete home-job work in record time & we wandered down to the local co op. this, in spite of DDs protestations that perhaps we shoudnt go out in the dark as there may be 'weirdos' about
I reminded her that living just across the road from the Tap-dancing OAP who was carrying her Chihuahua (sp?) in a basket (& wheeling them around in a baby buggy) before Paris Travelodge & her ilk were even born, means that we are surrounded by 'them' & we should just carry on as normal with our own particular brand of madness & not worry too much as long as we take reasonable precautions, such as not texting friends while crossing the road - like the silly girl who nearly got squished in front of us.
I'm digressing again - sorry
The co op seems to be having a great clear out, so much stuff on offer at the moment & I ended up spending £11.40 which admittedly, is rather a lot for the loaf of bread we went there for; but in fact fairly bargainous for the additional 2 packs of 10 frankfurters, 2 tubs of butter, 14 packs of hula hoops, 14 packs of mini cheddars, pack of 14 choccie mint biscuits & giant weird bendy sweetie thing for DD.
I also looked at the wine but resisted temptation. Collected a £2 off voucher at the till but not sure if I'll get the chance to use it before it runs out.
My total grocery spend is now £ 80.32.
I'm planning another NSD tomorrow as I have to take library books back & wont need any more food supplies for a couple of days. Home-job wages are low again this week & although I have enough to cover my cash savings, there wont be much left for pocket money.
Havent done any exercise today& at work I rediscovered the picnic bar that DD bought ( with my money ) on sunday. it was 230 calories of deliciousness & I will no doubt pay for by not losing any weight this week.
Off to have a bath now & attempt to finish the book,
night night
xx

Hiya lovely
reading your post has just made my day :j so good to see you here, been thinking about you & missing you & hope life is good for you & your DD ?
How fab if your magnificent return heralded the return of sarah too
Anyway, enough about you lot, lets talk about me :rotfl:.
Home-job payday today & after topping up all the funds I am left with less than a fiver :undecided It's official - I'm a saddo; DD gets more pocket money than I do & she's going to a dance party on saturday night whereas I will be staying in & sober as I have to do the chauffeuring ... this is not how I saw my life panning out.
I've now given up panicking about the laptop as spoke to the professional techie guy who deal with all our computer stuff at work who assures me that if I really cant manage, then he will help me :T.
Gropey Boss has also whispered to me that he can supply me with some really good software  I dread to think what it could be, & assume he's talking about computer stuff, but am at least grateful it wasnt Grumpy who offered because I'm fairly sure he would be referring to 'core & probably not the soft variety either . He's been out all week & although it's been quite peaceful in the offce & Goblin seeming perfectly pleasant; I have miseed his smut & rudeness & the mini chocolate bars too.
I havent mentioned work so far as it's all just been pottering long with no drama & then today the Goblin reverted to it's former self - listening in to my phone calls, making the wrong assumptions & then rolling it's eyes when I tell it not to worry as I'm dealing with whatever needs to be done, as though I'm the one being awkward . Its so full of it's own self importance & really needs a good slap & to be told to mind it's own business.
And breathe ... ommmmmmmmmm
I had a final statement from Barclaycard today & a letter saying how sorry they were to lose me as customer. I dont think it was very sincere though, as if they truly were sorry then surely they would pick up the phone to ask why I had closed my account & if there was anything they could do to persuade me to stay ?
It's been another NSD & the cash funds are as follows :
Presents : £90 - not enough so I need a plan
PGL trip : £ 50 - November instalment sorted
DD clubs : £ 40 - covered one for next term
Trips : £ 20 - one trip to cinema now covered
Clothes : £ 40 - but not for me... could use for presents
I am so looking forward to my friday tomorrow - I intend to do lots of household chores & a workout - only managed some dodgy yoga todayso need to get my self back on the case.
I received £7 of Tatco vouchers & will try to save them up towards one of the theme park passes.
Tired now & finger dyslexia is occurring so I'm off to bed
night night

Thanks Taxi :A you should try actually being in the office - they are a bunch of lunatics.
Hi museumworker ( dammit - you found me, will have to be good with the spends now :rotfl:) Just kidding sweetie :A, I'm always a-lurking over at yours, but dont post much
.
Hello KC - I'm having a 'nice friday' in terms of it being very productive & as to the exercise ... :whistle:it's been of the domestic variety so far today, but as DD is out at her club tonight for a couple of hours, I've mentally booked myself in for then.
I woke up in a very bad mood this morning, still inwardly snarling about the Goblin & promptly had a moan at DD about her room. It's atrocious in there but I had an evil mouth on me this morning
so felt quite sh!tty all morning - guilt.
Was in waitrose by 9.57 - quite miffed at the various price rises & cuts which are getting hard to keep track of & although I did put a few items back, I still ended up spending £39.59 . There seems to be no reason for the bizarre pricing (ie special offers ) & I was quite tempted to ask if a Goblin had recently take over as the manager, but managed to restrain myself.
Last week I bought an eco-refill bag of coffee for £2.50, I went to pick up another this week, & it was £3.87 . On the other hand the eggs I usually buy for £1.64 were only £1.25 today .
With another 2 & a half weeks to go until the next payday - I am wondering what my chances of staying within the £150 budget are . Rare to unlikely I woud imagine, but I'll have a go.
I was home by 10 & cleaned the fridge & defrosted & cleaned the freezer before packing all the shopping away. It has to be said that we are unlikley to starve within the next 2 1/2 weeks although we may go a bit short on fresh stuff.
DD has (yet another) dressing up day at school so I made a start on the washing & got 2 loads done & out on the line before having to run down to the garden & bring it all in again.
I cleaned the bathroom, hoovered everywhere, washed all the surfaces & floors & tidied my room. Refuse to set foot in DDs room other than to gather up laundry  so I just left a large black bag outside as a warning ...
I am feeling a bit anxious about finances now, although I know I can manage to get all the christmas presents for family, with all the other stuff I'm saving for it's going to be a bit of a struggle. The added expense of having family over & having to sort out the food is certainly going to take it's toll too although DD1 - bless her :A- has already offered to chip in. I need to have stern word with her about a present budget - she tends to go bonkers & buy really lavish gifts for everyone, which is sweet but unnecessary. She sent me a text last night to say that she defintiely doesnt have to work over christmas so I'm really pleased about that :j.
It's also just starting to sink in how dependent I am on the home-job income to ease the situation. I had a yearning to buy new decorations for the tree & could easily be tempted if I went to certain stores, but am just avoiding all temptation now & plan to buy as much online as I can.
No sign of the wireless 'hub' yet, so I still have an expensive, yet useless box sat under my bed. I did however receive my 2 free Amazon books today.
Right, must go prepare a delicious peace offering for DD
bye for now
