How come it is LLoyds bank that everyone is having trouble with regarding this visa chargeback? I thought Lloyds would have been one of the most helpful but they were terrible with me, would not listen that there was even such a thing as a visa card chargeback, they eventually said that they would not even look into it until I had a letter from the administrators proving we wont be receiving goods grrrrrrrrrrr:mad:What goes around comes around0

Sorry for being really thick,but the letter you had from the administrators stating that you wouldn`t be receiving goods, was that from Farepak admin or from Lloyds admin?0 -

Duh! really sorry ! Now that I`ve read your comment again I can see where I`ve gone wrong! I must have got excited thinking that you had a reply from Farepak regarding goods.!!! Really sorry for being an idiot!!!!!0 -

Tinawall was sucessful through the Alliance & Leicester and is getting the money with in 5 days. I think you should phone your bank back as the banks are trying to make all kinds of excusess but you can definatly make your claim now as I have.

I am an agent and paid half my payments using a Visa debit card and have made a claim through HBOS. They said that the money should be refunded withing a week or two - HOWEVER I was also told that HBOS would be making a claim through the administrators to reclaim the money they are refunding to customers and if their claim is unsuccessful my account will be DEBITED. They cannot guarantee that this will not happen.0

I have been emailing all sorts of people about the problems I’ve had with Farepak and HBOS. This morning a reporter from my local paper”The Hamilton Advertiser” called me and I told her how we had been affected by this. (I asked her to print the unfairpak website address).
I had been waiting for word back from HBOS for my chargeback claim; they have been trying to stall me with all sorts of excuses.
The reporter said that she would like to know what HBOS came back with so that she could include it in the story.
I called HBOS and the girl said that she had called me at work on Friday but I had gone for the day (she didn’t bother to call me back on Monday) anyway she said that she had been advised that they could not go ahead with my claim until I got a letter from Farepak stating that they would not pay me any money back!!!!! And that they had just quoted the Farepak number for me to make my claim against Farepak.
I informed her that HBOS had stated in an article in “The Sunday Post” that they were going to issue a memo to all of their staff and that they were supposed to be accepting cashback claims.
She then called the HBOS customer relations dept, who advised her to call the Edinburgh press office, and they told her that they would be issuing a memo to staff either later today or tomorrow. The girl advised that she would then be able to put my claim in again but that I would probably have to wait until at least Friday for a reply from her.
I called the reporter back and advised her of all of the above. She then called the Edinburgh Press Office and has called me back to say that they have told her that they will be proceeding with my claim and that it looks promising that I will get my money back £6680.
I still don’t know if I will or not but she sounded very confident about it.
I will let you know of any further developments

I have a Visa Debit card with HBOS and I paid for all my payments with this account but through Direct Debit. Has anyone been sucessful or is anyone aware if the Chargeback proceedure can be carried out in this situation. Although I didn't phone up and make the payments I feel it is the same principle but just the money is coming straight out of my Account.0

I just phoned them again and they repeated that they cannot process my claim until 30th NOvember. I have to call back then!!
