Am I right in understanding that HBOS have rejected this idea, B**T*!? I got all excited reading that article until the end.
For HBOS the amount that we've lost as Farepak customers surely wouldn't make that much difference to them if they paid it back to us.0 -

i feel so bad for all who are affected, especially with those with little kids who believe in santa. i would appeal to family and friends, explain the situation that you will only be buying for your kids this year and ask them to only buy for your kids (possibly spending what they would normally on you on the kids instead).
those with kids old enough to not believe in santa explain to them what has happened and try not to get into debt to still make xmas special.
remember the pound shop, poundland you could get loads for young children there and they would be estatic. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -

I agree, but i heard it was this bank that delayed the demise of farepak,so they could get more of their money back from us,hence going into liquidation just as last payments were due and no goods/vouchers were despatched,so if they are capable of doing this to the low income farepak customers they are capable of anything,so we have no chance of anything from them.if i was one of their customers my account would be closed.0 -

Very true, and adults to!
But do remember that in a lot of places there are NO poundshops.
In Cambridge for instance QD was demolished to temporarily house Robert Sayles and the empty shops that held the christmas shops and places like Acorn last year are all demolished ready for the new expensive big shops they're building.
It's just not possible to have a poundshop here, rents are too high.
Pity as they are great!0 -
