sazzlewhit wrote:Can I check Farepak and Homefarm Hampers where part of the same company and Findel who owned shares in both (sure I read somewhere it was 60%) has now bought the remaining 40 % shares in Homefarm but not in Farepak. Surely it is a case that what they have done is merged the two companies into Homefarm but without the debit of Farepak.
I keep trying to tell myself it will be ok and I've done they worst part now telling people who had placed orders that they won't be getting anything! Tried to explain to my little girl tonight (almost 3yrs) that I had been sending money each month to Father Christmas and a bad man had stolen it so we wouldn't be getting lots for Christmas this year -her reply was it's ok mummy then went and got £1 that her great-grandad had given her today and said you can use my money for Christmas!! I told her it was ok and we put it in her money box and I just wanted to cry.
Why should our Children go without when I bet certain Children (ie MD's of Farepaks) Kids won't be disapointed!!! Keep going from Sad to Mad then back to Sad. I've email watchdog and going to email administrators first thing tomorrow but almost centain we won't see £ again. B*****D'S
Who are the adminstrators struggling to find this out!!!!0 -

It was on GMTV about this, this morning and they said that the company stopped trading on the stock market 2 months ago so that was an indicator that something was wrong. Now I dont know anything about shares but if something was wrong 2 months ago why did these thieving barstewards carry on taking money from people who only wanted to do the right thing and save for Christmas. It makes me want to weep when I read the threads on here about children offering their £1.00 pocket money to make it alright. GMTV tried to get a statement from one of the directors but he wouldnt come out of his house - COWARDLY THIEVING LOW LIFE (that is the best way I can put it without swearing ) I really hope that the publicity keeps up on this and that something is paid put before chirstmas to all of those who have had their money stolen. It is just disgusting and I can not imagine how much distress poeple are going through that have been conned - my heart goes out to you. Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

Regarding suspended trading on the stock-market, the same thing happened to the shopping channel OneTV. Its shares were suspended in January but it continued trading for months before it went out of business, owing thousands of pounds. The warning signs were there but they still took people's money. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I feel sorry for you all ,this is dreadful!!!!....
They must have known for months that this was on the cards, so waiting till almost pay out time is just pure evil, how can the management live with themselves......0 -
This matter is being featured on the BBC Three Counties Radio consumer programme. According to them there are probably 750,000 people involved. If you go for a low average of £300 per person, this works out at a staggering 225 million pounds !What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
