I'm not annoyed about the vouchers not being handed out yet its more that there's a total lack of communication from the agent and tbh I don't think you should be annoyed about your customers hassling you if you're not giving them the information. I work in a service industry and the one thing that customers hate is lack of information. Its obvious that there's not just "always one" as you have said that several of your customers are hassling you. Thanks for the offer of payment cards but the agent in this case went out and bought some when the administrators asked for them. You obviously gave your customers paying in cards whereas this girl didn't which I felt was not good practice considering the amounts of money she was dealing with.
Tbh lack of info is not the case here I've been in contact every other day and also photocopied loads of stuff that I've read and received for them, the reason for the hassle was they wanted the vouchers as ppl had already been receiving them and they hadn't. Thankfully I received them today and went straight to share them out. "The only one" I was meaning was there is one in particular that is moaning about everything and saying that I had a full refund by direct debit as they said so on tv, I've told her it is only credit/debit cards and even copied my statement to show her I wasn't lying. When I went to argos they showed the girl at c/s they just needed to check it was a payment card with farepak on it then stamped it to show coupons were given....
Some may still moan now but at the end of the day I've done alot more then is expected of an agent at my own expense. Still next year there should be the administrators money back too..
Can I also say that I've read on a ebay thread somewhere that cheques can be cancelled upto 1year even after being cashed, maybe something to look into.

Rang bank, no joy, if the cheques has been cashed there is no chance, no harm in asking though was there.

    Found it at last lol--
When a stop is put on a chq the reasons that can be given are lost, stolen or other (usually when a person has paid for goods that have not arrived within a given timescale, faulty goods or even if they realise they haven't got the money to pay for something-but again this is quite rare)
It depends on the bank - when I worked as a cashier at a high street bank you could request a stop on a cheque upto 6 months after it has cleared - i have known of people writing out cheques for thousands of pounds, getting the goods and then a few months later canceling the cheque and moving home so the supplier are not able to contact them at the invoice address anymore- I never accpet or even give cheques - the sooner they are not accepted anymore the better as far as I'm concerned - they are too risky both from a fraud points of view and a day to day payment method - I'd watch out for this guys as I think its the "scam of the moment"

  • I received my £180 of vouchers today. Every little helps I suppose.

A big thank you to the Farepak Response Fund for their help in securing this for me as the agent, my customers and for those others affected by this shambles.

    Merry Xmas all

Great news apparently the vouchers have arrived at my sisters - she says they are high street vouchers - is there a site where I can see what shops have signed up to the high street vouchers? Alternatively if anyone knows and could post a list that would be much appreciated.

  • I was an agent, mine have arrived today, I've done a 30 mile round trip delivering them all, no-one was home so I posted them through their doors {sealed envelope}, anyway you can spend them at - this is the list on the back of them.
argos, wollies, boots, iceland, wilkies, new look, hmv, jjb, bhs, whamith, comet, h samuel, homebase, halfords, mothercare, focus, carephone warehouse, river island, virgin megastores, peacocks,, threshers, mk one, ethel austin, la senza, tjhughes, bon marche, d2, body shop, £stretcher, adams, qs, rosebys, local, shoefayre, shoe zone, ernest jones, robert dyas, instore, partners, optical express, stead & simpson, contessa - - - then there's loads more in smaller print

check this site out it might have more on it https://www.love2shop.org.uk

    hope that helps

Ive read on the news that some farepak customers will get hampers sent to them, as part of a good will jesture, although not everyone will get them. Is it true that hampers will only be sent out to those that ordered hampers, or will some victims that ordered just vouchers still be eligable?

Hi I received a letter from responsefund about this and the money that was donated after the cut-off date is being used to purchase goods that were already in the farepak warehouse, Only ppl that had non frozen hampers on order will receive 1 hamper per agent to share out. They aren't complete hampers just what they got of non perishable goods
