Well, I'm thinking the Great Hall at Edinburgh Castle for our venue as that will have plenty of room for us to whirl and skirl about and the tardis can land on the esplanade.
Music wise, apart from the ceilidh band, I think a blast of the Rollers could be necessary!
Good. like that jinty, landing space for the tardis already sorted out:T we can't be running all over Edinburgh in our fingery with assorted animals and aliens in tow - had enough of that last time:D:D
Hmm.. rollers.... well I suppose we could, how about some Big Country to go along with them:)Food - haggis pakoras and haggis pizza, for that cosmopolitan touch and of course plenty of deep-fried Mars Bars. ( Yes, these things truly exist!)Drink - yesDress - head to toe tartan, no subtle touches will be accepted!:rotfl::rotfl:The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Right, now to plan for the 30th shindig. Where's me tartan knickers?
Do I need to get the kippers out of storage again Nargle?
Hmm.. think jinty was right about subtle - tartan knickers - was it something like this you had in mind? Maybe we could buy a job lotThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Spoon - I've got over my grumpyness now thanks!! DH wasn't too happy that we've downgraded from a 42" plasma tv to the 12" portable from the bedroom though!! :rotfl:
Not sure if today will be a NSD or not, I hope it will be as I'm going to bury my head in my books all day if poss but DH muttered something about me getting oil for the chainsaw on his way out - I could pretend I hadn't heard him though!
Glad the grumpiness has gone, kate:T. Hmm... bet DH wasn't too happy about the TV, hope you manage to get it fixed - I take is he isn't about to take the chainsaw to it though?:DAllieBallie wrote: »Morning lovely NSDers!
Sorry I've not posted in a week - life has been busy in Allie land. Hugs to you Spoon, you do such a fantastic job and I hope you are feeling right as rain now.
so that's me at 8 + 5 NSDs = 13 NSDs!
Well done on all the NSDs, you're motoring along nicely now:jThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

It must be a 'K' day today ...
Kerri - sorry to here about your boiler, I hope you get it sorted soon!
Katenut - sorry to hear about your TV too!
Keiss - Happy Birthday for yesterday!
Anyway, yesterday was a 24 Karot day for me as I reached my target of 19 NSD!! It was also my 6th NSD in a row at my 3rd attempt! I have to do a grocery shop, so will do that within the next couple of days and combine that with a couple of other planned spends - in the mean time, Spoon, I'd like to increase my target to 25 NSDs!
Have a good week everyone, and good luck collecting more NSDs!
:j:j:j:jYAYYYYYYYY .... Kongratulations Khris (sorry:o), that's fantastic:j:j:j:j. You've had a brilliant month and lots of NSDs in a row as well. You are definitely our champion this month:T:T:T
Have increased your target now, good luck, I'm sure you can do it:j:j:j

Hi Spoon,
I am reporting NSD number 4! Woohoo.xx0 -
I seem to have fallen off the NSD wagon, and I need to get back on it. I've just had so much going on that I haven't kept track of anything. So, today I'm aiming for a NSD.
Ash
And you did... well done you :T:T:T:T:T:TWell, I'm here to confess that I was really fed up today and gave into a bit of retail therapy. It's really not like me at all!
However after months of NSD brainwashing/ training, I was very good. I got 99% of my Christmas shopping done, I made a list and just went for it! I used my Asda savings card which would have meant an NSD but I also spent £32 in Boo£s, but that is everyone bought for except BIL. He is getting HM chutney and some nice cheese and oatcakes which I'll get nearer the time. Still got another card with £150, which will be used for food etc, but I'm hoping not to spend all of that with a bit of luck!;)LadyfromVenice wrote: »Hello Lovely peeps.
It would appear I haven't been here since 9.11.10 . I appear to have been in some time warp as I have no collection of where I have been or what I have done. Not ill, not lost webby, nothing, I haven't even had time for a lurk or two .
DD seems to spend more and more time on the computer though, problem solved come 2.12.10 as she's getting a laptop for her birthday/xmas :T.
However, I have managed to clock up another 13 NSDs so that gives me a grand total of 16 NSDs :T and only two off my target.
Sorry I don't have time to read back through the thread, this one moves so fast.
:hello:Hi LfV and welcome back, we missed you. Glad you're OK and well done on all the NSDs:T:T

Hi lovely NSD gang:A
Wow.. loads of NSDs being posted today, well done everyone:j:j:j and lots of targets tumbling already :j:j:j
Cheryl - well done on the race, you did brilliantly:T:T
Kerri - glad you got the boiler fixed, not a good time to be without heating or hot water:(
kdalwayskint - it becomes easier with practice, you start organising your spends. Keep at it, the first month is always the worst (as most of us can testify to), and come and post if you're feeling down, there's usually someone around to lift your spirits.
All the totals updated on the front page now, I'm a very organised spoony this evening:D:D
'night lovely peeps, see you all tomorrow

Good morning all!
Feeling a bit more like myself today, def had a dose of the "blues" yesterday!
When I got home I checked my receipt from Mr a and discovered they had put through an item twice - £10! I wasnt sure what to do as I only realised after I'd left the shop. Decided to take a chance and phoned CS and explained the situation. They were very nice and the result is that I have to "pop in at my earliest convenience" and they will refund my tenner. Result! :jTen quid is too much to write off as far as I'm concerned!
Kerri - good news re boiler, not too drastic moneywise, at least that's you sorted for the winter. I always get a bit twitchy when things go wrong with heating etc.
BDINI - good luck for the interview - by the way - if you're reading this - GET BACK TO YOUR PRESENTATION!!;)
Spoon - I want those knickers, I agree they are compulsory wear for the 30th!
Going for a NSD today as I'm working - keeps me out of mischief!;)
Have a lovely day everyone!:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0
