We could have dodgy Christmas music, (Slade anyone?) sing Rudolph the red nose reindeer, exchange (virtual) gifts and generally let our pink-champagne-and-toffee-highlighted hair down (makes me wonder, when I read some of the hair dye descriptions, whether we ought to be wearing it or eating it) - unless you're a blonde floozy or a red devil or a chestnut cracker or silver and proud of it, in which case we could have a whole rainbow of heads doing the dodgy head banging thing to "I wish it could be Christmas every day" - get the picture? I'm sure we could find a friendly bartender, and Igor is already wrestling with the hog roast (Igor, you are supposed to wait till it's dead before shoving a pole up its....oh, never mind, whatever floats your boat...)Nargleblast wrote: »Anyway, back to St Andrew's day - over to you, jinty, for ideas of how it should be done. Hi lovely NSD gang:A
Caught up on all the posts now and updated all your totals - some very impressive numbers appearing on the front page - well done everyone:j - and three targets tumbling over the weekend:j:j.
Just a quick catchup on some of the posts:
jintyb - glad you're pleased with your headlights:D, love the carmel-y sounding combination. Hope you had a lovely weekend with OH.:D
karom - I've increased your target now and well done for avoiding the online shopping. Really sorry to hear about your back:(, hope it's on the mend soon.
Looloo - glad you enjoyed the Harry Potter film:j
beanielou - glad your back is on the mend:j. Love the sound of the Champneys bag, your mum should love that
katenut - sorry you're feeling a bit grumpy - a lot of that around at the moment, and really sorry about your TV packing up, definitely what you don't need atm:( ((((hugs)))) xx
donna dynamo - hope OH enjoyed his birthday party and that you all recovered OK
kerri gt -:eek::eek: to the window cleaning costs :eek::eek:, makes me glad mine only charges £7 for a lot of glass. Sorry about the problems with your boiler, someone suggested asking your neighbours, that's a good idea. Presumably all the houses were built around the same time, so some of your neighbours may well have had the same problems and can recommend someone. Hope you get it sorted.
candyapple - well done for resisting a takeaway and alcohol on Friday after a hard week at work - that is true NSD dedication.
Well it seems as though the brace of kippers I have been carefully storing all weekend may not be needed after all, as jinty and Nargle have successfully claimed some more NSDs.
boult...... still waiting for you to claim another NSD and I'll put the kippers away for now:D. Seriously, hope your friend felt better after your night out:).
Hope everyone's had a good weekend, see you all tomorrow - another week beckons.
'Night everyone

Well, I'm thinking the Great Hall at Edinburgh Castle for our venue as that will have plenty of room for us to whirl and skirl about and the tardis can land on the esplanade.
Music wise, apart from the ceilidh band, I think a blast of the Rollers could be necessary!
Food - haggis pakoras and haggis pizza, for that cosmopolitan touch and of course plenty of deep-fried Mars Bars. ( Yes, these things truly exist!)
Drink - yes
Dress - head to toe tartan, no subtle touches will be accepted!:rotfl::rotfl:

Good morning everyone
Up very early today, as I had to drop OH off at the airport so he could get his flight back down to London.
Managed another NSD yesterday, so that's 13! Getting there slowly this month.
Today I'm off to the library, then I was going to make some soup for lunches this week and a veg curry for my dinner. The recipe I've got has creamed coconut and yogurt in, would I be able to freeze it?
Off to catch up with some telly I've recorded, specifically Mad Men which I love but OH hates !;)
Will pop back later
Have a lovely day everyone:)
