Oh dear - best wishes for a speedy recovery for thing 3.
Spendy day for me today -windowcleaners came and made my grubby panes spick and span in a number of minutes  I must say that it was £20 i don't really have this month, but well worth it. Now I need to pop to Mr S and get bread as we have none left and I don't want to do it tomorrow. Also bought some checked gingham on eBay earlier for my jam/chutney jars. Jinty - going to make the Apple, Date and Ginger one you gave me the recipie for too this or maybe next week.
Still no heating (except the small fan heater in the lounge - trying not to think about the elec bill it must be running up....:eek::eek:) and seems we have nada hot water either - put the elec heater for the hot water on but ran a bath earlier and it was p*ss cold - so don't know if the heater element has also gone - just what we needif the forecast cold snap comes this week and it's not fixed, it might just tip me over the edge.....
feel like as soon as I get one job done, something else break :wall: am joinng the doom and gloom group today

As expected, no NSD for me today
Been and picked up curtains for the doors (almost £51 , but still cheaper -and quicker - than making, and I have enough to double them all up for extra insulation), and also did a grocery shop at Mr T
Did something I'd never have dreamed of doing before, much to the bemusement of the lass on the checkout......
Had a number of items from the 3 for 2 offer on baking bits, but picked up 3 of each item. The signs all say cheapest item free, so if I'd put them all through in one transaction I'd have got all the cheapest ones free and none of the dearer ones. So before I got to the till I did some shuffling around in my little trolley, and then put lots of 'small shops' onto the belt - having added odd bits to each set of 3 baking items, so that I was also on (or a penny or 3 over) a £ amount on the first 4 shops to maximise my points as well.
Total spend should have been £20.27, which included a running magazine (£4.30 which seems a lot - but I want a read of a second issue before deciding whether to subscribe to it via the Mr T deal or not, which I need to decide on in the next couple of weeks to get it on the 4x deal) and a cheap washing up bowl (appears I have a verruca, and the instructions with the gel I got from the chemist - free as I currently have an exemption cert, otherwise would have been £3.49!!! - say to soak the foot for 5 mins each night).
So £14.47 on groceries, of which 79p was a Whoopsied vegetarian lasagne I've had for tea (should have been £1.97). Then a voucher for 50p off milk subject to minimum spend of £1.50 (got 2x1 litre of their Pure S/Skimmed as it has a reasonable date - and was already on offer at 89p each or 2 for £1.50). Also got 25 extra points for one of my 'shops' including £1.50 or more on Value products, so including the 'green' ones I netted a total of 67 points towards my next statement - which is exactly what I'd have got by putting it all though in one transaction
I also had a £10 gift card from the site I do surveys for, so actually only parted with £3.97 in cash for the food (though the value of vouchers etc go into my sealed pot, so that's gained £10.50 today) plus £5.80 for the mag and bowl. Given I also saved £3.58 on my baking bits (would have only been £2.59 if it had all gone through in one transaction), I have to say that's my kind of shop :TCheryl0 -

Mine get done almost 5 times for that (I pay £4.20 a fortnight), and I thought that was lot to find - but I still think it worth paying for while I can afford it, as I don't like heights so wouldn't/couldn't do the upstairs ones myself.Cheryl0
