The “arrgggh it’s nearly Xmas” November NSD challenge

BDINI - :rotfl: :rotfl: You made me laugh - I completely understand the feeling of being summoned to be worked to death
. I've learned over the years to do it with good grace and not fight it. Sometimes that works, sometimes not, mostly depending on my level of grumpyness
.
And 8 is great for November! Remember the power of positive thinking. You too Karma. And every-one else who is struggling to fit in NSDs at this time of year! Big Mumma will be along to waggle a finger at you for not relishing the NSDs you have made.
You are right Nicca, i'll sulk all the way there on the train & then brighten up, but note to all NSD'ers, if your parents (or any other family members) ever mention buying a newsagents, run screaming in the opposite direction!!!!solventsoon wrote: »Thanks BDINI, really appreciate that. Feeling much brighter today, nearly back to my normal self again, thank goodness...
Oh dear, sounds as though you have a fun weekend ahead.... but, as nicca says, nowt wrong with 8 NSDs - I'd remove the "dismal" or BigMumma may well be along to tell you off most severely:D
Ok, you're both right, it's not that dismal & it's definitely 8 more than 0 :j when i first started this challenge 8 would have been amazing, but the more i do it the more i want!!!
Can't put it off any more, mother's here i come, have a good weekend all see you Monday!!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Hya Spoon :santa2:...a good plan with your bi-weekly updates, you have done such wonderful work here, but we want you happy and healthy too!!
Had a lovely time at the hairdressers yesterday. I think the girl could tell I was a bit worried of having too drastic a colour change, so she made a fantastic subtle job of it. She used three colours (including chocolate!), and it looks fantastic!! I think I might be braver the next time...but I am really pleased with the cut and colour :j.
As to the car, but it is still going....18 years old, and we have hit the 150,000 miles mark this week....hope it keep going for another few years...fingers crossed.
I had hoped that today would be an NSD. I'm not spending anything, but DH will be. I forgot to get brie cheese for the family coming over tomorrow...and he is talking about getting me a birthday cake!!!:j I will even be allowed to open some pressies tomorrow (even though I'm not 50 until Sunday), as my sister and family are only over for the day ....is it silly to still get excited about opening pressies at my age!!
Right, must get off the 'puter and get some onions chopped and cooked for the onion quiches we're having for lunch with the family tomorrow. I will make the pastry and blind-bake the cases today too, so all that has to be done in the morning is mix up the eggs, milk and cheese and then add to the cases with the onions (or bacon!). The squash soup is already made and in the freezer - result!!
Have a great weekend everyone..I will try and pop on when I have a few spare moments.

Number 10 today - target achieved :j
To be honest I made it low enough to make it achievable on my 1st month return. I carry on and hope for another 4 this month
Have a great week endMFW on your mark0 -
Evening all! trying to catch up on the posts from the past couple of days. Had the day of work today but have been very good, not left the house - plumber came and will be coming back in the next week or so to sort a few bits out in the bathroom (though issue with the shower is a bit of a question mark - if it's the pump it's ok to fix....if its a sticky valve we somehow need to get behind a tiled wall.....oh dear!), also had quote from a window cleaner who is going to make our windows all spick and span tomrrow. Today I have beeb busy cleaning the inside of our windows, and the shutters..which took me about 4hrs in all  I even found a couple of xmas bits behind some of the shutters....says how often I clean there
, have also washed the floors and hoovered - bit more hoovering to do and some dusting then I feel that the house is almost ready to begin Xmas preps.
All this cleaning does mean I have notched up another NSD so that 11 for me now and 3 more to target :jso it looks like it might be doable :T
Happy wiggle day everyone!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
