((((((((((Huge hugs)))))))) Spoon, really hope you are feeling a bit brighter today :grouphug:
I totally agree with what everyone else says, this thread is a huge amount of work for you & you must take care of yourself. if there is anything i can do to help please just say!
Well a prolonged absence due to laptop problems, but all sorted now, just in time for me not to be able to get on here as i have been summoned to my mothers for a long weekend to be worked to death
I can only report 2 more NSD's since i was last on here, it's so scary how i lose focus without all the support on here. Think i may struggle to hit my target this month, but i need to try & catch up & spend less before the end of the month, now i have reduced my debt it's no excuse to spend on silly things!!
So a dismal total of 8 for this month so far, must try harderFebruary NSD challenge 5/150 -

Second spend day in a row for me - and tomorrow will be another (as I got distracted this afternoon
)
Spent this morning doing nothing much at all, and decided to have an early lunch then kick my @rse into gear.
Had meant to go into city centre to check out fabric to make curtains for external doors, but it was too late for that if I was going to get a bus in and tramp around doing all the errands I can get covered in one trip if I have long enough.
While my soup was heating up I measure round the doors to figure out how much fabric/what size curtains I'd need.
Then (while eating lunch) I checked Arg0s for any possibly curtains, and found some that aren't too expensive (though the colour wouldn't be my first choice and I'm not sure they're really going to be thick enough). Several local stores have a pair the right size for the back door, but only one has a pair for the front - and they don't have the size for the back !!! Have put a pair of each on hold until tomorrow night while I think about it though, as they were all showing as only 1 pair available.
After lunch I bobbed into B'n'M to see if they had anything the right size (knew they had some curtains in), and they had the larger size but not the smaller in the colour I'd have wanted out of all the ones available. (May check another - larger - branch, as though the larger ones were £5 dearer than the ones in Arg0s they're also fully lined - but the colour choice from here is even less what I really wanted than the Arg0s ones)
Then round to F0cus to check for curtain tracks (didn't rate the plain & simple ones in Arg0s, and can't use anything with a 'finial' as the one over the front needs to go right into a corner in order to cover the hinge side of the door). Picked up one in each size, but not the P@yless range as they weren't as sturdy and clearly stated they're not designed for as heavy a curtain.
I also picked up a new outside light for the front which is something else I've been after for a while..... The one that's up now has been out of action for the last 3 winters, ever since my late DH decided to change the bulb (which meant undoing screws above the unit) and managed to ruin a screw head so that it now won't come out. I got one with a sensor on it (which the current one doesn't have), as this means I'll have light to unlock the door when I get in from work - this is actually something I wanted, as it saves leaving the external light on when I go to work or the afternoon which would mean it's on for 4.5-5 hours for the sake of 30 seconds it's needed for. This was a budget one, and at £17 was a lot less than I expected to have to pay
I then planned to go out to the branches of Arg0s to get (or at least check out) the curtains plus do a grocery shop at Mr T, but......
Came home to find the postie had been while I was out and my copy of the new CD from The S0ldiers (ordered last week) had arrived, so I got a tad distracted putting that onto my iP0d (which decided to freeze as I connected it to my laptop, so it then took me half an hour to find out how to reboot the darned thing!). It's a fantastic album, and I adore the cover versions they've done of some of my favourite tracks (was a tad worried they wouldn't "come up to scratch", but took the risk based on how much I enjoy the music I already have of theirs - and they've not let me down). So I've been listening to their albums (the original 'C0ming Home', the newspaper freebie 'L0ve Songs' and the new one 'Letters H0me') on shuffle since about 4pm - I just restart the 'select by artist' whenever it finishes
(I'm now more determined than ever to try and make the Help for Heroes race on Sunday, but will be running to The S0ldiers rather than my normal running playlist as it seems more appropriate)
Got restless after tea, so went down to work to get some milk (the one I bought last week - dated 20th - had started to turn by this morningSo I've been using dried milk all day, but fancied fresh stuff for the morning). Couldn't resist checking the Whoopsies while I was there, and have also come home with a small (but not tiny) block of feta cheese (29p), 4 potato and meat pies (79p - going to have to get up early tomorrow to play freezer-squeeze), and a pack of 2 cream meringues (25p)
So plans for tomorrow (after freezer-squeeze) are physio, home for a brew and to get changed (easier in a skirt at physio, but more comfortable in jeans for the other errands), into city centre to check out/price up fabric to make my own curtains instead of buying (if I can get something of a decent weight in a better - or no worse - colour without breaking the bank), try and get my eyes tested (meant to phone and make an appt today, but forgot - so will have to call in as soon as I get to town or try and remember to phone before catching a bus in), and try Prim@rk for some new PJs (the ones I got from there a couple of years ago are falling off me - especially annoying is the sliding off the shoulders and down my arms due them having a 'v' neckline as I'm getting a cold neck!), then home hopefully in time to get to Arg0s for the curtains (if still required) and get my Mr T shopping.
Saturday will have to be another chill day though - and with an early night if I'm going to get to Accrington area for the run on Sunday....Cheryl0 -

NSD no 9 for me please. Just come back from lovely birthday supper with girlfriends. They provided food, wine and cake and all I had to do was turn up (was given a lift so could indulge a bit with the old vino as well!). And NSD to boot. Bliss!:)
Hugs again to Spoon and to anyone else in need of hugs too.
Take care everyone and good night.DeeBee0
