    No NSD for me today.....

I was going stir-crazy in the house, and with no dog walking allowed I just couldn't motivate myself to go out (did a run yesterday, so should stay off the leg at speed today) - so I finally gave in to a Whoopsie hunt this evening in order to get out for a walk (albeit a short-ish one at 1.75 miles, and only that far 'cos I went to explore the C00p I always forget about)

Picked up a pack of 8 Strawberry Act!mels for 28p (from C00p), then headed to work. From there I picked up a piece of sea bass (49p) that I'll try tomorrow (never had it before), 2 bags of pick-n-mix rolls to have with soup at lunch times (seeing as I had a load of soups arrive from App F00ds this morning) which were 25p for 4 rolls each, and also picked up an Organic baguette for 19p plus 3 chunks of Roule with Garlic & Herbs for 19p each.

Have spent most of this afternoon/evening continuing the inventory of my kitchen cupboards. I now have 2 boxes of open things to try and work into my meals before year end, and have completed 7 of the 10 cupboards (one of which is now back to crockery only, after I managed to fit the food from it into more logical places in other cupboards).

I think it is me LooLoo was talking about...off to the salon tomorrow...quite excited about it now! :D I too usually have my hair done by a friend, but she is super busy theses days (3 jobs!!) and so it's been a quick in-and-out with her lately. She also doesn't work with a mirror, so I never see what is happening until it is all done, which can be quite a surprise :o She was unable to do my hair before my birthday this weekend, so DH suggested I head for a salon (little realizing just how much it costs )...happy to oblige in this case though :D:D. They've even got massaging chairs :rotfl:.

I need to look my best when I turn 50 on Sunday! Well, one part of me will look good...I hope! ;)

Off to get some ironing done...it's becoming a mountain range again...ooops :rotfl:

My friend doesn't work with a mirror either but she's pretty good at dealing with me sitting down saying 'oh I don't know what I want, something different but kinda the same' :rotfl: A nice massage chair sounds fab though - I might suggest she gets one :rotfl:

Know what you mean about the ironing, I am sure it doubles in size as soon as I put anything in the airing cupboard

Cheryl - i would love to come to your house with your spreadsheets and cuppy holes - it sounds like a very organised aladins cave :)

Hope its nothing serious with doglet's leg - if only they could tell us exactly what is the problem. x

    aladdin's cave possibly :rotfl:

organised not..... or not yet anyway ;)
that's part of the reason for doing the inventory - should (hopefully) make for a vast reduction in grocery spends next year, as I'll know what I have in (and where I've stored it). Bought some wholewheat spaghetti in the last week or so as I'd almost run out - only to find two packets at the back of one of my kitchen cupboards today :o

Wouldn't that make life much easier :)
Or even just them being able to understand that they're missing their walks for their own good....

Dreading his mood in a few days, as he got most annoyed with me putting on my coat and going out without him tonight :o

Mind, he's very good at telling me when he needs to go to the vets :D
Had a couple of days (think it was probably just over a couple of years ago now) where he tried making me turn right at the end of the drive instead of left, and the only place I ever took him if I turned right was the vet. Kept telling him no, but he kept on at it.
I kept a close eye on him for 24 hours and decided he was possibly slightly off-colour, so went ahead and made an appt - though I felt like an absolute nutcase when I had to admit I didn't really know what the problem was, but that he was asking me to take him.....
Turned out a certain set of glands needed clearing out, and the vet said she'd never known a dog stand so patiently (and quietly) while it's being done either.
When he started asking the same way within a couple of week I immediately took him back, and yes it needed doing again !!!

Number 9 for me please. For any-one who noticed I seem to have had 3 NSDs in 2 days, on the day I declared 6, I didn't include that day as I thought I was going to spend, but didn't in the end.

Spoon do take care of yourself. You do a great job here, but please don't put pressure on yourself to do a round up every night. It's a lot of work and takes a long, long time. And each month it gets more and more as word of our success spreads (and the notoriety of our virtual nights about town!) ;). That's thanks to you :D.

We'd rather have you pop in when you can than have you feeling low :(.

If we all like and want the round ups, then you need some helper-monkeys so it doesn't always fall to you. We're all here to share our wisdom (and some of you even seem to possess such a thing ;) :rotfl:), so let's share that load too.

Take care. Big hugs to all of us!

    Hi everyone
Well I'm definitely on the mend today, feeling much brighter in myself so back tomorrow to do the totals although you may not get much of a roundup tomorrow, more of a quick whip-through:D

Thanks for your wise words nicca, I think you may be right. I've been working very long hours for the past 4 months and I think that's taken its toll on me as much as other things going on around me. I may need to take it a bit easier for the rest of the year so will probably have a bit of a rethink about the challenge and how to organise it.

Loads of NSDs rolling in, I spotted - well done everyone - and a couple of targets tumbling as well I think. Keep going everyone.

    See you all tomorrow
    spoon xx

I totally endorse everything Nicca said.We love what you do for us, but certainly not at the expense of your health or wellbeing.
My thought re this was to run our totals in the same way as the Grocery Challenge, i.e. state a target at the start of the month and declare a total at the end. The nightly round ups are wonderful and all of us appreciate the extra mile(s) you put in on our behalf, but it's a lot of work and yet another job for you to do on top of what is already a very demanding workload.
Let us know what we can do to help. I'd rather have a little of you on board than none at all IYSWIM!;)

Today will be a spendy as I said yesterday - meeting my chum for lunch, which I'm really looking forward to and I need to get a birthday card for my niece who's 20 tomorrow.

    Have a lovely day everyone!:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

Absolutely agree with Nicca and jintyb. The daily round up is wonderful but such a work for you reading all the posts and putting it together; on the other end I can imagine you do like the personal touch so maybe do a half-way by asking everybody to post their total every friday (or any other day of your choice) so we have week on week measurement of progress.

Spent yesterday (booked my trip, got a magazine subscription for DH, etc.. but used over £100 of vouchers so the total was not too high); out today to catch up with friends so another spend day.
    MFW on your mark
