if you do the weekly shop today would you then have a NSD tomorrow? better than spending money both days :rotfl:

I know - have done just that - went to Mr T and got stocked up for the week. However, tomorrow will still be a spendy as I usually put my car tax savings and our weekly fares away on a Friday. Couldnt do that today as I need OH's wages tomorrow to do it. The first week of the month is always tight for us as the majority of the DD's come off.:( Never mind, I have all month to catch up;)

Very pleased with myself as I stuck to my list, so under budget. Its amazing how a limited amount of money focusses the mind:rotfl:
    :rotfl:
Im having a leftover dinner tonight - pasta bake with HM bolognaise sauce which was leftover and frozen,
bread and butter pud with some bread thats a bit stale but ok.
I have some sausages Im going to cook and make into some pasta sauce - I saw the recipe on one of the other boards, just need to find it ! I'll use it for lunches next week.

Other than that I'm just taking it easy today, just going to run round with the hoover and then get on with my knitting.

    Have a great day everyone:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

No NSD for me yesterday :(
as went on the big B 4Less site after reading CW18's had got some bargains.....and got a bit carried away...:o........didn't do aswell as CW18 but have some cheap tinned stuff and flour and xmas :rudolf:treats coming.

Haven't tried this before so it's a bit of an experiment for me. Definitely have saved money on what I would of bought instead, but not as much as they claim on the site, as I wouldn't buy brand names normally.

am trying for no 3 today will call back later after the shops have shut :rotfl:

Bought my local paper (online) for 75p and then HAD to you lot are a rather bad lot tempting me with special offers visit bbfl and spent £18 odds confused0017.gif
I should, however, get a reasonable amount for my money. Getting 9 rolls of loo roll, some dishwasher tablets, 10 tins of beans, 6 pots of noodles, 2x 4pk of animal bars, 2x pack of milky bars, whopping amount of scone and doughnut mix, 3 tins of rice pud, 10 tins of lentil and bacon soup and a bag of choc fingers which I think will all get doubled up using that special code happy0015.gif
I had a look last night too...had nearly £30 in my basket (saving almost £100 !!)...but then decided to keep my NSD :A...will have a look to see if anything is left on Friday, my next planned spending day....if not...then hey hoh! I got my first AF delivery last week, so we are rather short on starage space here!!

Declaring today as NSD no 3 :j

I find it's good to declare in the morning, then it stops me spending on-line!! I often visit various on-line vsites, decide what I want, even put things in the basket, print it, then empty the basket and log-off!! When I do have a spending day, then I go back to the site and put the put the order through, I have been known to put it through just after midnight :o. By then I usually have cut a few (or many) things out...or rarely...added more stuff!! This helps to curb my on-a-whim purchases...at least that is the theory! :D

Right, off to hang out the washing, then I will get my dad's socks finished.

    Oh Spoon...will definitely post piccies today...promise!! ;)

    Morning all

well I have been for blood test - and it will be counted as a spend day - i think that is right so i will get some shopping and make sure I have a NSD tomorrow (also silly moo forgot to bring my ham in for my lunch form home! Grrrr I get so irritated when I do that as I hardly ever buy lunches out now!)

Oooo spoony when you can find the "Mouse"saka receipe can you email it to me.... I'll send you a PM with my email - I have found a nice paella receipe so Mr Looloo might acutally be pleased with me hahahaha

Hope everyone is well and I am impressed with the people doing NSD's in a row.

Thanks for concern over blood test - I think it is a big sign of getting old... I have been meaning have one done for a while but thetrouble is when you feel better you tend not to bother!!

Happy thursday and we are nearly to Friday! woowoo

    xx

Aah that's a brilliant idea! I find myself buying way too much online because I don't actually see the money leaving my purse, thanks for the tip :D

And on that note I'm declaring today as a NSD so I don't get tempted later!!! :rotfl:

  • Morning!

Had to buy milk yesterday, so that blew my plans for another NSD. (1 so far) I'm using up so much with HM cheese sauces and rice pudding, and porridge!

Had some good news, I logged on to the clubcard website and found i had £20 of unused vouchers, which I immediately exchanged for £80 of pizza express tokens so Mr. Evil Twin can have a nice birthday treat later on this month, for FREE!! I am so chuffed.

Aiming for a NSD, all I have to do is walk the dog and catch up with the apprentice. Quorn enchiladas for tea, with leftover rice pud. Belly busters to keep us warm.

The first two items won't be doubled - the code is for food items only.

I almost got some of the scone/doughnut mix, but still have loads of scone mix from App F00ds and don't use it often - so I replaced it with extra granary bread flour.

Oh I realised that - maybe didnt explain myself very well ashamed0005.gif. Still as it had already been a spend day I decided to just have a look happy0176.gif. I not a huge fan of beans but DS loves them so every now and then I do something for both of us so them alone were a total bargain. I wasnt sure about the scone mix but this time of year I usually get roped into bake sales etc and if not then we'll be the size of houses :rotfl:. Thought about the flour but for some reason didnt get it and I'm totally kicking myself I didnt get the risotto mad0049.gif still never mind
