  • Rubbish -denied myself a chocolate bar with lunch to get another NSD only to realise that it was pushing it too far to drive to work with the petrol light on and expect to get home the same way. Had been banking on putting some in tomorrow when I had other stuff to buy! Ah well these things happen I suppose. Hopefully I'll get everything tomorrow and maybe get a few in row for next week.
  • Hi everyone

Well not a good start. I did get some free slippers today courtesy of my Debenhams voucher (thank-you martin). However walked by superdrug and they had the £2.49 size of dove deoderant down to 99p, so I stocked up on five bottles which should last me a long time. I do have shampoo, showergel, face wash and deoderant now to last me a year. Cool. So a bit of spending now, but saving with getting a bargain, and good stockpiling for the year.

    xx

Full of flu, but had an exciting day of meetings and torturing snip's deputy head \senco. Oh how i like to torment snot nosed gets who think they know best and refuse to do they job. So i'm now enemy No1 at the school. But do i care, no my child needs an education and darn well he's going to get the help he's enitled to.

So three successful days whoo hoo!
  • Hi everyone, today is NSD 2

It's been a vile day up north, got soaked taking dog out this morning and only just finished work so no chance for any pennies to jump out my purse.

Hope you all have an okay evening. x

Oh dear...so much for having today as an NSD...well it was until 4.45!! :(

Then a friend phoned asking me to visit her tomorrow, meaning I would be unable to get some of my shopping done. So today quickly became my spendy day instead of tomorrow!!! I added a few Xmas pressies to my spends too...just to make a night of it! :D

Managed to whiz round town in less than 40 mins and get loads done!!! Had to get a new duvet, duvet set, sheets and pillow for DS2 (also ordered a new mattress tonight :o!). Went to M&Co as had some vouchers for there...forgot it was 20% off today...so managed to save over £55 in all :j:j...also used my M&Co card...so have another 5 weeeks or so to pay :T. Pleased with myself, I also visited a couple of other shops before popping into Mr T.

Just to let you all know...Mr T has a few "Buy 1 Get 2 Free" on atm, it's on until the 9th...I got the Cathedral City Extra Mature (350g), but there were only two left, so I have a Promise note for the third one...hope I can get it! With the cheese, you save £9!!! If I can manage it, I will try to get a few more....a really good deal there, though nothing like Cheryl's!!!:rotfl:

So still stuck on 2...but should pick up three in a row now...unless I succumb to the cheese that is ;).

Thanks for your lovely comments about my knitting and sewing...that Sirdar Crofter wool is really effective, and only £2.70 a ball. I can get either two beanie hats, or 1.5 pairs of socks...pretty good value I think!!

Enjoy the rest of the evening everyone.

Number 3 for me today. Hope everyone is well!! No time to catch up (as usual), week from hell at work (as usual!) but got three days off from tomorrow so we're running away to cumbria for the weekend - reckon I can't get called into work from there!! So happy Guy Fawkes Night everyone - we're going to drive/walk to the highest point we can and watch the fireworks from across the valleys :) xx

I often visit various on-line vsites, decide what I want, even put things in the basket, print it, then empty the basket and log-off!! When I do have a spending day, then I go back to the site and put the put the order through, I have been known to put it through just after midnight

I do the same with sites like Direct Cosmetics, fill up the cart with sample etc.. gasp at the total and decide not to order so close the browser til the next time. This has lead to reducing the ordering to 1 a year versus the past of 1 per quarter and buying less (definitely eliminated the items who end up in the bin after 1 use)
