Oh my - when did it get to be the 5th November! And that's me just checking in fot the first time this month too :o.

1st and 2nd were spendy days - had to pay for study day on 1st (good old NHS! pay your own way :rotfl:). Envelope for colleagues birthday thrust uncerimoniously in my hand on 2nd! Hate them the most - not that I begrudge my colleagues - but that pressured expectation that you can, will and want to contribute [the same as every-one else] to leaving/mat leave/illness/birthday/whatever! Pah!!!

Made NSD 1 on 3rd but today wasn't happening either.

Ebay and clothes swap posting to be completed in next few days too so not looking good (I know I'll lose out on ebay thing as I could only put in £4 postage but the weight came to more than that).

Come on November! You're already dark and driech! Give me a bit of a hand on the NSD front why don't you!!! :)
    Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

    Hi lovely NSD gang:A
Lots of NSDs rolling in today, I think we’re all saving our pennies for the dreaded C word in December. Well done everyone:j

A very warm welcome to all our newbies signing up this month, new people are always welcome to join, we’re a a very friendly, if slightly insane, bunch and a surreal sense of humour definitely helps. We are, however, very serious in our aim to cut down on our spending and are happy to give advice/tips/hints so please ask if you’re not sure about anything. Everyone seems to have more success if they post regularly on here and join in the chat - not sure why, but it seems to work, so please feel free to join in

So welcome and good luck to:
Lily_The_Legend: :hello:hi and welcome, of course you can join us, you’re very welcome. Signing you up for 14 now - good luck. Don’t forget to keep posting, we’ll give you loads of encouragement:)

:jcandyapple - oh dear, sorry about the weather today, not good, but no 2 should be some consolation, I hope

    Morning folks,

Just a quick post, very sad news, my FIL passed away very suddenly yesterday evening. We had to rush through to Glasgow, but it was too late. Will be MIA for a few days as we are back through today so OH and BIL can make the arrangements.
We are totally shell shocked as it was all so sudden.

Will be popping in as and when I can,

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

Hi BDINI, don't panic, I think what you've done is extremely sensible in your circumstances. The only danger would be running up more debt on other credit cards but I don't think you're likely to do that. Good for you, no more credit card debt hanging over your shoulders, celebrate and have a lovely (and NSD) weekend with your dad - can I come for tea on Saturday, pretty please:D:D:D:D

    spoon x

Thanks Spoon, of course you can come for tea, bring your tupperware & i'll pack you up with some leftovers too!!

I agree Niccatw, & don't you find the second you've paid for one, another envelope starts the rounds!!

Well today won't be one as will be picking up the radiator covers tonight, but do reason why the rest of the weekend won't be... fingers crossed!!

Shame on you Spoon - I'm useless at foreign languages but even I know that one ;)

The official translation is 'dreary', but I've heard it most often to describe wet (and damp, and grey and miserable) weather :)
