    yes deff ((hugs)) 3dogs what a nightmare of an ordeal!!

    Well I am pleased to report more NSD's here (more by neccessity than anything but at least I'm getting them in) - I'm actually not sure where I am up to now as I cant remember when I last posted ........................................ runs off to check

    13 NSD's to date now. yay not nearly as bad as I thought - might just make it to my target of 15. I do want to try my local L1dl for the steaks that I saw mentioned on the GC board but that still leaves 2 days to get to my 15. Sunday is normally a NSD and Monday will just have to be :rotfl:

    OH AND I FORGOT TO ADD - ITS BEEN SNOWING :)
    Emma :dance:

    Aug GC - £88.17/£130
    NSD - target 18 days, so far 5!!

    Hi all,

    Just checking in to let you know my S.Dad came out of hospital yesterday and he's doing really well.
    honey x

    Great news Honey, best wishes for an ongoing recovery for him.

    Welcome back 3Dogs, lovely to hear from you, but so sorry to hear about all the stress and worry you and your family have been under. A big:T to you for all the fighting you have been doing on your Mum's behalf, but it's BL**DY riduculous that you should have to do it. I dread to think what would happen to your Mum if she didnt have family to look out for her. In this day and age its awful how our older citizens are treated by the "system". Kind Thoughts and prayers from me to you:)

    Finally settled down after all the stress yesterday, got the money sorted and OH home so Im happy. Slept for 9 hours straight :T
    We're off to shop today - Oh needs new jammies for lounging around in and also a wooly hat for the cold weather in London;). Its snowing here this morning so we'll not be long at the shops. The spends are coming out of OH's wallet, so I coud wangle another NSD!
    Beanie - I'm planning a coffee and cake stop too, so I'll raise my mug to you in the process!

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

    Declaring #17 for today!

    Just back from shops, didnt spend anything though! OH got his jammies and toiletries for going back to Londinium on Monday. I got some bird seed (not for me:rotfl:) and goodies for the cupboard and then we had a lovely, but inexpensive lunch and OH paid for the lot! Feel quite full so no takeaway tonight. TBH cheese on toast will do me ( cheap date eh?)
    Now going to put feet up and finish my book while glancing at the snow through the window, great!

    Have a great day everyone:)

    Afternoon all....

    Fristly, big warm hugs to you 3Dogs - you really have been through it, isn't it awful that so many people have to fight for the basic care for family members from an NHS that was put in place soley for those needs. It makes you shudder at those poor people who don't have anyone to fight their corner. My mum lost a close friend this time last year due to what it seems as imcomptance (shoulder op - then was taken back to hospital due to all sorts of nasty infections/stomach problems etc etc, and didn't come out). My MIL had a similar experience where they could have sued for incompetance but my FIL wouldn't as he said that would mean taking money away from an already overstreched social service and that would mean more people would suffer. :( Big (but gentle) hugs to your mam too, I bet she's heard a few stories about us crazy lot - that will prob give her a good :rotfl: xx

    Right...confession time from me....deff not a NSD here :o OH came shopping with me and OMG! I spent more with him than I would on my own - and they say us ladies are bad! No sooner had I picked up a basket in Primarni (to hide a cheeky little santa dress I will surprise him with on xmas day ;) ) than he's filled it up with other things too :rotfl:still, I did get some PJs for £4.50 - that were on my 'Dear Santa' list so that was a bargain.

    Picked up much needed kitty food, milk and toilet roll in Mr T (16 Andrex for £5) ...we now have 21 toilet rolls in the house so we'll be fine if we get snowed in :) Then wrapping paper, and other gift wrap things in various other places.

    When I got back to town (my home town) I popped into M&S so see about the 3 for £5 deal I messed up yesterday - no joy in getting my 3rd item but if you don't ask you don't get (and sometimes if you do ask, you still don't get :rotfl:) and picked up a HUGE bowl of satsumas from the market for £1 - bargain!

    Off out for dinner later so a very very spendy day - I'm not sure I dare add up what I've spent but hey ho....tomorrow I'll hop back on the wagon.

    No snow here as such yet - a few flurries but could easily have been someone walking past in need of a little head & shoulders :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Good afternoon everyone!

    3dogs - glad to hear that your mother is now on the mend and is almost her normal self again, and congratulations to her on her running total of 91 years ... I'll be happy to make it past 61!!

    Talking about running totals, yesterday was NSD number 23 for me! Fingers crossed that today will be another one, which will take me one short of my revised target!

    Have a good weekend everyone!

    3 Dogs, just want to say how very sorry that your dear Mum has had such a difficult time of things, made worse by the incompetence of the NHS. My father is very ill and it has taken various hospital admissions and battles with varous departments of th NHS t get him the 24 oxygen he needs to breathe! Awful. Our parents deserve so much more ((((many hugs to you and your dear mum)))

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Today was another NSD so i have fulfilled my intended 16 NSD's for the month. Hopefully i will notch up another one or two. Hope you are all tucked up nice and warm and cosy in this chilly weather!
