Help, I think I'm catching the Amazon bug again! I've had a stack of classical CDs and PS2 games sitting in my hall for months, meaning to sell them on eBay but never getting round to listing them because I couldn't be bothered to go through the whole photograph-write listing-upload palaver.
I've just put the whole lot (about 35 items) onto Amazon in 20 minutes :T
I've been having a trawl through eBay this morning and noticed quite a lot of classical CDs selling at much lower prices than they're available for on Marketplace - do CDs tend to shift or am I best off sticking to books if I want to start buying to sell?0 -

Hello all...,
it's my first posting so please take it easy!!!
Today I opened an account with Amazon, but I'm finding lots of books that I have are not listed.
My question is:
How do you list a book that has no other template or price guide,as it does not seem to give me the option to list a title that is not for sale already ?
Any advice gladly accepted,thankyou Debbie0 -

Sadly you can only list a book if you are a pro merchant seller (see 1st post for details) have you tried putting title in instead of isbn? I sometimes find the book i'm after by this method (amazon are not always spot on with isbn's)
Good luck and I hope you have good sales0 -
Thankyou for your reply, yes I have tried the title as lots of my books do not have any ISBN numbers,oh well.....
My other question is :
I have an old cook/housekeepers book called
The domestic oracle or A complete system of modern cookery and domestic economy, published in Glasgow by Cameron & Ferguson,by Alexander Murray. The book is undated but looks very old,how do I date it?Although there are none for sale on Amazon, there is one claiming to be dated 1826 on Abebooks.Do I just assume they are the same?Kind regards Debbie0 -

Hi Debbie
Welcome to the thread, you will find everyone here is really helpful and friendly. It's the friendliest forum I have ever come across.
Take a look on https://www.bookfinder.com I did a quick search and it appeared to come up with two books, one that you had already found. http://www.bookfinder.com/search/?ac=sl&st=sl&qi=u6XaUyQUZyl9VApv760MBlMaFfY_0351906812_2:6:26
If you think you may have one of these books it could be worth emailing some photos off to an auction house such as https://www.bloomsburyauctions.com to their book expert - he will give you a 'guide price' valuation and offer to auction it for you if he thinks it might sell. Although you may then choose to list in on Ebay - I think dealers keep their eyes on rare collectable books on Ebay and prices can go quite high.
Let us know how you get on, it's always fun when someone gets a 'find'.
