Ho sorry this is a bit OT but I'm searching for the web site you used to calculate calories etc for ther recipes - if someone could point me in the right direction it woudl be hugely appreciated.

Hello everyone, not been on for a while, got married at Christmas everything has been sooo busy and I feel like I am only just catching up!
CFR-news, we have been given several vouchers, ready for our recipe challenge competition, so if people would like to have a think about what the competition might entail, that'd be great, we need the rules to be carefully thought about, I think...
So far I think a main meal for 4 people at no more than 50p per person and containing at least 2 of your 5 a day?
I don't know if this is what you are after, or if it has already been suggested (still getting up to date with this thread) but if the competition coincides with Valentines then what about a romantic two (or three) course meal for under X amount per person? Just an idea.
Btw had the Christmas meal- pork and the cranberry loaf at New Years, The pork, so I am told, was to die for, Mum loved the cranberry and cashew nut loaf but I still wasn't keen (sorry!) can't quite fathom what I don't like about it- I love the other one, in fact I have to freeze it quick so I don't eat ALL of it!0 -

Rachbc we use a piece of software designed by Lesley now, but we used to use recipecal (now no longer in existance) and have on a few occasions used sparkpeople.

I like the Valentine's idea too - our usual Valentine's treat is a takeaway of some sort but a 3 course meal would be great (even better if I could get OH to cook it):happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Hi everyone seems to be doing well. I have just made the mushroom soup for later on as it is such an easy dish to make and i am still not well (now on antibiotics) and not much of an appetite. Took mince out the other day to make cottage pie and will need to find some motivation as it needs cooked now. Have done the tatties for it and will try and cook it later on.
Lesley glad your brownies went down well. I have made them once and they didnt work so well for me were a bit oily but had the potential to be great so might try them again in the future xx0 -
...
DH is a dab hand at making CFR raisin scones now, except I can't figure out why his always turn out fairly tough and mine never do? Must be a man thing.
My guess is he's being too rough with the mix/over mixing?
Christopher and family all enjoyed Chris's birthday cakeI just topped it with a bit of white icing and some choccy stars at his request. I do love that cake!

well finally got myself in gear and made the cottage pie and it turned out well. Managed to pad it out with grated carrot, mushrooms and peas and sneaked in the usual oat that the ex hasnt seemed to notice yet and it made a huge dish of stuff so we will be having it again tomorrow at least. There is still plenty of soup left as well so the storecupboard/freezer challenge is still going well xx0
