up until the end of january I have spent 16p per person per day by using up storecupboardy things, so am very pleased :)

Would anyone be able to help with assembling the rules and terms and conditions of a competition on the website?

I think looking at a few similar comps on the internet would help to work out what we should be saying... Please let me know if you are interested in doing this. :)

Hi sorry not been on much have the dreaded lurgy that has been doing the rounds so not feeling up to much. Have still been using up the freezer stuff but neither myself or ex felt up to eating today so will be having turkey stir fry tomorrow so saved ourselves an extra day of food (every cloud and all that).
Everyone sounds like they are all doing well and that pear tart sounded delicious dont suppose there is any point of joining the queue is there:rotfl:

Shanks, it sounds like you have had what we've had as we haven't felt like eating either with this nasty cold/flu. Hope you feel better soon :)

Weezl - Can I ask what the plan is for the Christmas planner now its over (Christmas that is) I feel like leaving it as is make the site seam outdated/not tended to IYSWIM? BUT I love lots of the recipes on it so don't want them to disappear!! (or if they will, I need time to print them all off!).

I'll be making another marmalade cake 2mo as Chris has requested it as his birthday cake, I think I'll put a chocolatey topping/filling on it though for a bit of a treat, I can't believe my baby is going to be FOUR

    good point sami.

I agree. What if it becomes the 'celebration week meal planner'

ie shirl has a 50th birthday, and so they eat the roast pork and chocolate roulade?

edit: have made provisional changes, the timings link still needs reworking though, will do asap :)
edit 2: please tell Christopher that I am very happy he chose my recipe for his birthday cake :)

Celebration week was what I was thinking of too!
It looks good, don't forget the headings of the planner table dates/days will need changing too (just in case, you had :))

I told Chris, asked him if I should pass on a msg to you and he wants you to carry his birthday cake when the candles are lit :D
I'm off to explain you're too busy to come all this way just to carry a cake ;)

well spotted on the column headings, I had missed that. All changes made now AFAIK, so I'd be grateful for any leftover christmas references being spotted!

Am very flattered at the offer to carry the cake! What a lovely boy he is Sami :)

yesterday I made carrot cake and chocolate brownies to take to WI this afternoon

and then promptly ate 2 pieces of each one AND I'd had a cranberry slice in the morning

flippin' heck, talk about sabotaging my weight loss plans. I either have to not make cake, or get it in the freezer straight from the oven while it's still hot and before I have time to scoff any

seriously, will power muscles are being flexed as we speak and I've had a get real talk with myself

    delicious cake tho

Weezl the "other recipes" still references the Christmas planner.

I made the French onion soup yesterday - it was absolutely disgusting, no idea what I did differently (except using beef stock cubes instead of chicken) I literally could not eat it! Was very disappointed as it was lovely last time!

    Hi all,

I'm still around, just a busy bee with work and all, but I do try and get on Skype most evenings. Have been making lots of CFR stuff this month, but nothing revolutionary, just the old recipes. Have thrown in a few of my own to mix it up a bit, but going well so far sticking to the meal plan. Grocery budget not very in tact due to an unforeseen Costco trip by MIL (couldn't resist a few bits) and taking advantage of a 2 for £10 nappy offer (only buy nappies every once in a while as we use washables 95% of the time). However, if I took those 2 expenses off, we'd be doing really well so I shall think of it like that :p:p.

DH is a dab hand at making CFR raisin scones now, except I can't figure out why his always turn out fairly tough and mine never do? Must be a man thing :p.
