Feta and spinach make a nice alternative "sausage roll" filling too.

Hi all, just wondering if someone can help me out with the CFR Lemon Cheesecake recipe? What size tubs are these?

    Thanks in advance.
    I used 500g yog, 200g soft cheese

Hi Kiwisaver the sizes i used were for the yoghurt 150g and the cream cheese was 250g. HTH let me know if you have any other questions or tell us what you thought of it. We really enjoyed it at chez shanks
was your's really thin? i'm a bit shocked that mine worked if the quantities are so different.
I use feta in some gorgeous rolls in a recipe I found.

You add very finely chopped rosemary, olive oil, sundried tomatoes (plumped up) and pieces of feta

You can also poke rosemary sprigs in the top of each roll and drizzle with olive oil as well

    they are really good
ooh yum! does it have to be fresh rosemary? MIL grows it so could nab some of hers but I always have dried in the cupboard and I have lots of sun dried tom pesto, do you think that would work?
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

No it filled a good sized tin which was about 8" in diameter and made a nice thick cheesecake. Yum mouth is watering at the thought of it but i am on a freezer challange where i am trying not to buy anything til i have cleared out my freezer.
  • LOL, now we're all confused. :rotfl:

I've since looked at A$Da website and Smartprice natural yoghurt only seems to come in 500g size and the Soft cheese is 250g.

    Thanks all the same!!!

  • DH and DS have painted some of the decs and I have taken photos, just need to find the thing that links the camera to the lappy now.

I got a massive sack of spuds in Mr S yesterday for under £4 and they seem nicer (and drier) than the usual plastic packed ones. Just parboiled a fair few for wedges for the freezer.

sorry Sami, been awol with a cold. Had flu a few weeks ago and this cold knocked me more sideways than it would usually

    so, back now.

haven't tried dried rosemary, but I'm pretty sure that would work, but possibly not for the olive oil drizzled pieces on the top

the sun dried tom pesto would give a nice flavour, but it would mix in, while the whole toms give a more intense hit when you get one in a mouthful. So yes, it would work, but you would get something diff

    Hey Shanks,

The chilli jam sounds great, despite the fumes! :TYou are organised with your cooking at the moment. I have slacked off recently and need to get myself back on track.
