Hello all. I'm hoping to try the lemon cheese cake this weekend. I wanted to do it a while back but my oven started playing up - getting hotter and hotter and turning everything to charcoal  Luckily I was able to get someone in to take a look this week. I was worried it had died but he recalibrated the thermostat and, fingers crossed, all now seems to be well, so looking forward to a scrummy dessert.

Hope everyone is keeping warm and safe.
  • Hi everyone, *waves to Shaz*, am back in the land of the interwebs, got a great deal on a laptop, so no peering at the tiny netbook screen any more :-). Looking forward to catching up with everyone :-).

weezl -kessie is so cute (saw pics on parent thread) . Still not moved but i have 4 hens and 22 quails ...the quails i hatched from eggs via Nyk (frugaldom)

isom - hope you are well and your issues at work are resolved, retirement is going to be a shock both finacial and relationship wise lol

lesley - not sure yet , probably something veggie as we are rationing meat and have a glut of eggs. Bought a load of meat from the smallholders group but its got to last a year!

BNS risotto for tea tonight, I don't know what I did but it tasted even better this time - possibly I added more mixed spice than last time.

I might make some biccies and gingerbread men tomorrow, does anyone have a tried & tested gingerbread recipe? I've only made them once before and no idea where I got the recipe from.
