  • My laptop has died, suddenly, last night, just went !!!!!!! I shall be very sad if it is dead, as that's another faves list lost forever :(. Feeling a bit lost this morning with no Skype etcetc. Am just borrowing DH's for a mo, but I hate his, for heavens sake I even had to type in the address for MSE!!! :-). So, I might be a bit intermittent for a few days :-(.

had the spaghetti aglio (with chilli) for dinner again I must say I think it's one of my favourite recipes, just because, I've always got the ingredients, it takes literally no time at all and fills me up perfectly - proper comfort food!
Am going to have the spanish omlette tomorrow as I have some eggs which went out of date today and I want to completely empty the fridge before going shopping on the weekend.

As im on a store cupboard mission this week - any idea what to do with a tin of mustard leaves? I have no idea where it even came from - I definitely didn't buy it!

I had to google them, to see what they were:o... but it looks as though it would be very similar to tinned spinach.
Could you not use them in a lasagne ?

  • I'm planning on being CFR as I can be, there a few non negotiables that I have to purchase for DH, between now and Christmas.

I'm armed with my list for the morning, when I go on a raid to Aldi and Morrisons, before DH heads off to work.

I haven't/can't decide what we're eating at Christmas yet, have a feeling that it also maybe CFR.

Breakfasts will be: Porridge, Apple Curd (already in freezer), Nut butter and pancakes

Lunches: Onion tart, Houmous, Soups and sandwiches.

Teas: Spanish Omlette, Chicken & Onion Pie, Pasta Carbonara, Chilli, Bean Curry, Roast Chicken, Sausage & Mash

I've not put them in order as I'll just have the stuff in and decide on the day what I'm making.

Tonight I cobbled together a bottom of the fridge spanish omlette, potato, onion, carrot, 4 eggs beaten and some grated cheese, it was delicious.

me and OH have just had some very nommy soup

used some chicken stock I made yesterday, along with the potato and vegetable water from last nights dinner

a parsnip,an onion, and the last of the cherry toms that were really small and had finally gone red, and a cup of red lentils, 2 tsps sea salt and that's it

simmered it for 20 mins and whizzed and it is nomnomnommy, had it with some HM bread

another 2 portions left for tom too

incidentally - does anyone else laugh like I do when that advert comes on for some kind of yogort and they are all going nom nom nom as they eat it
    makes me laugh every time!
