would love to visit Allegra but every time i step foot outside the door the snow starts its a conspiracy im sure.
The pie is made and in the oven along with veggie wedges and i will put on some broccoli to go with it yum
  • Wish it would snow down here (kent), not for ages mind- just enough to make a snowman, chuck a few snowballs and look all christmassy. Five days would probably be enough, then if it could just vanish overnight (without leaving all that dirty slush and ice), that would be perfect.

Just made another batch of carrot cake for OH's lunches, and for anyone who has yet to make some- it lasts for ages and is still moist at the end of the week.....

....oh and it tastes alright too:)

Made Yule Log yesterday. I haven't really bothered with many of the desserts as I don't have much of a sweet tooth but really fancied it yesterday.

It was very yum, so yum in fact that the two of us completely polished it off last night :o

Will have salmon pasta tonight but am going to use smoked bacon instead of salmon - hope its as nice!

Hi all, lovely to see howlin, poohbear and susan posting again :A

Queen of String and I were chatting yesterday, and realised it would be very interesting (and also helpful with planning the future direction of CFR) if people were able to say what it is about the project that they get something out of. (Good heavens what clunky grammar!)

All thoughts welcomed. The more different reasons you feel able to give (however small they seem) would also really help :).

Apricot, I think lesley has made it with bacon and said very positive things about it! I'm not sure if she made any specific adaptions, but I'm sure she'll pop up and tell you about it. I will be interested to hear how you get on.

ooh Gino did a Yorkshire pud master-class on This Morning today and he said the mix should be cold from the fridge so I've no idea why mine have failed previously but I am spurred on to give it another go using his tips, I think I'm going to see if mum has a spare tin I can borrow and do individual ones next time.

He did a starter, main and dessert one, dessert was filled with ricotta, honey and pistachios then topped with a few berries

I would answer but I'm not sure I understand what the question is.

Perhaps she meant, "what do you get out of CFR?". I THINK.

Sparklyfairy, are you a fellow Yank then? Or just enjoy Turkey? ;)

I'm working today, so we'll do our Thanksgiving dinner probably on Thursday...hope there's a turkey for sale in one of the local supermarkets, otherwise will have to settle for a crown...
