101hassle, many people have told you to speak to your bank...have you done so yet? If not, why not? Are you going to ignore yet another relevant question?

Contact your bank. They will explain to you what happened and then you can pursue whatever action you feel necessary.

If the company have changed your details, how can that be fraudulent when it's to pay money you owe them? You also need to check US law as that is where any offence would have been committed.

This is like Prime Ministers Questions with a question being asked but no reply being forthcoming!!
With reference to being told about a card going out of date. I have a few web sites from different companies. I need them to remind me when a web site needs renewing and that a card previously used is out of date.
  • if i have an account i make regular payments to (ie instigated by me each time for one off purchases) and the card expires it wont accept it, if its something like my magazine subscription which i have had for years it is continuous as its linked to my account not my card. when you start up a direct debit you enter the debit card details as that verifies the account for the bank,

OP i think you are massively confused about how it all works, making a payment is very different to a standing order or direct debit but you may enter the same details for either.
