  • I too, like previous posters do not have the voucher code attached/ pasted to/ in the email.

Looks like it will be more emails to them to get the same standard responses back. Oh joy.
  • Finally I got a reply to my email to Amazon asking where my boxset was. The email only (!) took a week. Have also been given the £5 but don't think I would have got anything if I hadn't emailed. Not very impressed with Amazon.

Thanks to all contributors on this thread though, have found it very helpful. Good luck to everyone with their next Amazon purchases!!

Despite having an email confirtmation of our order, I have checked our Amazon account and there is nothing there at all. I have had no cancellation email from them and there is no gift certificate offering.

Have sent e-mail stating that I'm sure it's an error on their account and hope that I'm not being treated with contempt.

Anyone else had this situation. Do you have to second guess them?
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.

Same here...I rattled off an email late last night - they are giving me a £3 gift voucher as compensation.

Not happy...but I'm just gonna let it drop.

it looks like we are all the same boat I never had an email in the first place that they were going to cancel my order and reluctantly emailed a £5 gift voucher i certainly wasn't impressed by the tone of the email either!!

Did anyone actually receive this box set at this price?
I got part of my order and an email to say rest will follow - according to one of the legal bods where I work, that should form the Contract, and Amazon are breaching it. I am trying to get as much information together as possible before i approach Trading Standards.

What will help is if I am able to put together a list of names and how many people have been let down, how many people received this item, and indeed if anyone got this so called email cancelling part of the order.

I was told i had been sent that email, but i have never received anything other than a mail to say here is part of your order and rest will follow.

If anyone has this email from Amazon cancelling the order, any chance you can forward it to me.

    Thank you.

Oh and I was offered the £5.00 discount voucher or a chance to repurchase the DVD set but at the $52.xx price. Told them to £$%%££%$£% very politely.
  • Re the £3.00 gift voucher they awarded me...I complained saying "how come everyone else rx'ed a £5 voucher"...just got an email "we're sorry....here have a £5.00 too"

    Bit happier now

Thats what i got but its not possible to use both these together, ie the £8 in one go! Ive had to use the £5 on its own and still have the £3 sitting.

  • sorry I wan't clear...they haven't giving me an extra £5 voucher in addition to the £3...but have brought me into line with other who have rx'ed a £5 voucher (hence my use of the word "too" badly)...so all I now have is a £5 voucher.
