When we get a pm from a board guide explaining why a post was removed, why are we treated like naughty school children if we take it to the board and show others on the thread in way of an explanation as to the removal?.
Why are we not permitted to discuss a removed post?Knowledge is often mistaken for intelligence. This is like mistaking a cup of milk for the whole cow.0 -
Why does the site keep sticking trying to load that annoying facebook link...[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Why can't I delete my post when it's the first one in a thread and nobody has posted a reply? Even when I have edited it to make it irrelevant?0

A question that I've heard asked is "Why was post X deleted when post Y (which was worse) wasn't?". I believe the answer is that post Y wasn't reported to Abuse, but it would be good to hear the official answer.
Also, not really a question but sort of related, could we have a couple of "test cases"? Would be handy to see where the line is drawn. Or would this encourage people to learn how to sail close to the line without technically overstepping it?
I guess it comes down to "Why is no correspondence entered into?"
E.g. if I get a letter through the post to say that my driving was inappropriate and I'm given 3 points on my licence, but the letter doesn't tell me what I did wrong or how I can find out then I may well continue to do wrong and get banned. That's not what happens in real life. I might get a speeding ticket through the post. Then I know if I don't slow down in future I could get banned. It sounds to me like the dealing with abuse on here is more like the former than the latter.
Oh, and the other question I hear a lot is "Why can there not be more board guides / admins / abuse responders / etc?"0 -
Well, I would like to know about one question Martin stated - why *are* threads about Islam deleted when other religeons can be discussed?
Political correctness?
Martin trying to avoid a fatwa?0
