Hi folks

We're looking to expand the forum rules - with a "why" section that explains why the abuse and forum team do certain things. .

Over the years I've written many explanations on such things here and we want to collate them. It'd be great if regulars would let me know the things that are asked again and again.

Examples include...
  • "Why was my post moved / deleted without someone telling me?"
  • "Why was the whole thread in discussion board deleted when it was just one post?"
  • "Why don't you tell people what they've done wrong?"
  • "Why are posted about Islam deleted when other religions aren't?"
I'm sure there are many others please do let us know - so we can put them somewhere that the answer is then only a link away.

Thanks

Martin

Why might a signature be removed?

(Not that mine ever has-just thought it might be helpful, and I have to say I'm always curious as to what they could have said when I see they've been removed! :D)

    Fab keep 'em coming.

Even if they don't relate to you - even if they are annoying questions - if they're asked a lot its worth having a depository of answers.

  • Why have we not got moderators and what is a boardguide?

Why do MSE staffers ignore MSE rules/stickies and post discussion posts in the benefits forum, when its clearly stated that that forum is not for discussing benefit policy?
Why do board guides ignore that?
Why does the abuse team ignore reports about it?

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that
