This week coming is probably the busiest week of the month (being grocery promotion change), I'll come back to you at the end of the week with some approximate figures....

I gaze into my crystal ball and see a long queue at the cs desk.

Dont point it out to the cashier. Pay for it and then take it to customer services. If you tell the cashier they will fix the price and charge you the correct amount. Only quote the r&r policy if they say they will give you the difference. The policy is generally on a board behind the customer service tills.

Just to add to the above reply, it is also best not to mention the term R&R

But dont mention the phrase "RandR" ....as this is a word/phrase we use...it isnt a Tesco Policy

Try to scan it first on the scanner if there is one.

Pay for your item, then go to the CS desk(as stated above by Emms and shoperholicnot)

Tell them youve been overcharged...point out the item on your receipt, and go with them to the place where you saw the misprice(this way they cant say it wasnt there)

Wait to see what they offer you...for small refunds they will more than likely just give you a full refund.

If they only offer you the difference.....Tell them while you were waiting you have just noticed the policy on the bottom of the blue board.

That should be enough.......if it isnt enough, you can ask for someone higher up....but to be honest, to make a scene, and get yourself known to them, for a small refund, possibly isn't worth it.

Just make sure the next time, that you have enough to make it worth your while arguing.....

This isnt a comprehensive answer......a lot more things can be expected from CS.....but for a small refund, this should suffice.

I think they will have some type of delivery service.........as not everyone has a car.

Yes they do.....its £4.85 and takes 1 to 3 working days

Noticed today that lots of offers finish 23/10, 24/10, 5/11, 7/11, including the Christmas chocs & biscuits. Perhaps lots of chances for R&R if the staff are as slow as usual changing the SELs.
There is an excellent site called fixtureferrets.co.uk that publishes all current offers from all supermarkets. You can pay to sign up for full site or just log on for offers.
Try it, it saves me trying to remember all the offer end dates at the same time as looking for misprices :D
