That is scary K60sav. What are they saying on the tannoy as you are doing your shop?

Its funny really, last night i went to get some champagne, i looked at a half price offer, genuine interest because it was 32 xx down to 16 xx anyway asked if they had any in cos the shelf was empty, 'low and behold, tannoy, manager comes down, checks supposedly, nope he says, ok I'll come back tommorow, do a little shopping and I know he's following me...weird or what, check out. done. get some ciggies at the ciggy counter and he's up my aXXe, oh just thought I'd let you know we arent having anymore deliveries of that champagne this week...and he's got the sel in his hand...what the fXXX was that all about???
I feel harassed....and is it? Surely I shouldnt feel intimidated like this...?

It's a fact that if you have a few high value r&rs in a short space of time you are going to get noticed. I am not taking Tescos side I think if they have the policy then they should abide by it, but the store have cottoned on and rather than be pro-active and make sure their pricing is right they would rather keep an eye on you. I have just started r&ring again in my local store as I felt cs staff were getting funny, the worst ones gone now so I feel a little at ease for awhile. It's a shame there's no other Tescos for you to go to until they forget you a bit.

Working in a supermarket in certain areas really opens your eyes and widens your experience.

I was the pricing department in this store, if we'd offered r&r here I'd have needed more than my manager for protection.

I am new to this forum but have already profited from a few freebies. I would love to get my hands on a R&R but don't shop to Tesco + too shy to take items to till just to check price. My local Tesco is not in such a nice area that all they sell is junk, sweeties, food and Alchool (vast selection). But the meat, veggie, soaps...is soooo tiny never nothing interesting. Yet I'll keep my eyes open and I'll let you know when I loose my R&R verginity!!

Hi BikeBarbie. I've not done an R and R yet and from what I've read I don't think I'd have the nerve to, though I'd love to get the courage to.

Try something small so that it doesn't matter if it goes through at the right price, stickered books/cd/dvds are good for r&r as they don't need to check the shelf ticket. Once you've started you'll be hooked.
