I think chosing whether to exploit the policy or not is a personal choice.
It comes down to morals of each individual person, you are either an ethical honest person who lives by decent standards, or you are not.
I think the type of person that does it deliberately in a big way is perhaps the same sort of person you would not want to buy a secondhand car from.
Sorry if that offends, but that is my view on thi matter.

Thats a quick turnabout.
You have been a very bad influence on me !
I hope you are happy having corrupted an innocent.

Can i also ask were these "banning" letters sent recorded delivery??
If they werent then I cant see them being too serious..what would happen if these letter never ever made it to you...lost in the post?? if they were sent recorded then you'd have to sign and Tescos would know you've received them!0 -

Only bans I have ever enforced have involved shoplifting, threatening behaviour, drug abuse/dealing or actual bodily harm (to another customer or staff).
I have worked in some choice parts of the country
Me too, banning only works on people who care, when they're drunk / high they just keep coming back thinking they won't be recognised. I can remember my manager trying to forcibly remove a drunk. The drunk fell to the floor and put a foot either side of the doorway. My manager started to lift him by the collar and I thought the manager was going to punch him. Only time I ever seen him nearly lose his temper (he was a great boss), I called the assistant manager and it took both of them to get him and push him out of the door.
Working in a supermarket in certain areas really opens your eyes and widens your experience.0 -
leadhead wrote:Sorry....of course i knew that...it was a tongue in cheek reply to spa2k's comment to you re "do you think we are wanted on here"(or the like)..........
and in my reference to not associating you to tescoemployee, I tried to show that I distance you both and your opinions from his.....
No need to apologise, I understood what you were saying. Just thought it was worth taking the opportunity to state my position.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

They're probably just designed to put people off going back - how can they enforce them - most staff won't know what you look like.0 -
Richie23 wrote:A CS advisor tried to give me the differnce yestersday on two of the games i had and she said the third one i could have free and i said "I know the tesco policy" she said " oh i thought you would!" and smirked! I then had a huge argument with her as i said "the fact of the matter is you've overcharged me on 16 fosters,3 games and a dvd... what if i was a little old lady who didnt check her reciept, you would have charged her 22.99 for a dvd which is advertised as 9.97" she then said "no i wouldnt have let tat happen as i would have give her a full refund!!" so i said "so coz i'm not over 60 your gonna try and give me the difference?" she didnt say anything..
Think i'll dressup as a granny next time to make the ride smoother..
The cheek of her...how they treat people different!!
LOL, but do you really think a granny would be buying a DVD, games and 16 Fosters? :beer:0 -
