Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
They dont sell LCD TVs in my nearest shop, and I wont have time to go to others this week. :(

Nevermind ,Im sure they will be giving away, sorry I mean selling more in the near future !.
  • This may sound like a stupid question but...
If I find an LCD TV marked at £799, do I buy it on it's own or buy other things with it?
Please let me know what you would all do

    On it's own.

Unless you often buy a TV with a bag of frozen peas.

Personally if I were lucky enough to find a mispriced big item like this, then I think I would buy other items aswell, this would be a good enough reason to not immediately notice the misprice before you have paid for shopping, of course I would notice the mistake as I check my receipt to collect the TV........WELL ACTUALLY .EDIT THAT .... I may actually notice the mistake after the TV has been arrived (then they can't pul;l the fast one that they don't have it on stock.

Most important though........Never use your clubcard or a credit card !!!

    Just need to find one

How would you explain why you'd paid £50 more if you only bought 1 item?

Better to buy a couple of bags of flour to make it look like a 'normal' shop. :D I think when we get into the realms of buying stuff like this, it's rarely an impulse buy and so can be quite rightly bought separately. You then need to get it to the car, wait a few mins then go back in looking all sheepish and plead that you didn't actually realise that was how much you had been charged, but it's £50 more than the label. Look for the blue sign whilst you are talking so you can refer to it when they offer the £50 difference (they will!).

You can always walk past the incorrect sign on your way out of the store with your telly under your arm and stop and look at it.

"I never noticed it before but you have a sign there for £799, you have overcharged me"
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

I'd say that you weren't sure that you'd read the right price label so you went back to check

You say to CS - "I assumed the discount would come off at the till"

or "I didn't realise - the kids/ hip/ BF/ GF were giving me stick at the time"

If you're blonde - play dumb.
If you're male - play dumb.
If you're neither pretend you're far too busy to have noticed.
If you have an R&R phone you could try shouting into it whilst at the till.

In short - say nothing. Let them dig themselves a hole.
It's irrelevant why you didn't say anything - it's their problem.
