There are 20 pages of misprices on the other thread!!

Constantine wrote:Well no, if its not going through the till at the correct price it is not a genuine offer and it is not valid for an other 2 weeks. Entirely possible the offer has been pulled and some stores have been lax in removing the POS. You are asking why stores do not display incorrect POS...you seem to have things in reverse! The stores that have removed the offer have done the right thing (from a being legal and not overcharging POV, perhaps not from a filling your cupboards with free biccies POV), as the offer does not exist.
This is my parting shot on this - can't keep going forever - don't want to bore everyone, but ......
other national retailers, be it argos, somerfield or whatever make you aware of offers either by catalogue, flyer, internet or other media advertising. If item X is thus offered at £5.99 until 14th November I believe I have a right to go into any of their shops nationwide and purchase it at that price. You would too - you wouldn't expect an advertised item at argos to be 5.99 here and 7.99 in the next town. I've never known any other retailer to make such an offer then, after a short time, withdraw it and say in effect "we didn't really mean it".
Mr. T has advertised by yellow SEL, obviously printed for national distribution & thus presumably goes to every store, that they will sell item X at 5.99 until 14/11. That 'offer to buy' is still in my store today and ought to remain there until 14/11 when it expires. This is not necessarily just about R&R - its about supplying item X at the advertised price and not overcharging everyone 'not in the know'. As Mr T has put out this offer nationally it should be available to all. Yes, I do R&R, but I'm also concerned for the 'little old lady' out there who is in effect being robbed.
This is beginning to look like a case for T.S. who I'm sure would agree with my point of view. I don't think they would agree, once they've seen the SEL and the date on it, that 'the offer does not exist'.
You say above"if its not going through the till at the correct price it is not a genuine offer" - that indicates that you think the till is always correct - I don't think many R&R's would agree.0 -

Good advice....when the Sept 3rd promotion ended, we had a field day, then they put an October 1st deadline on it, quickly followed by the current October 29th deadline.........
There are new phones being introduced (I noticed)...so there still may be possibilities.......we wait in anticipation.Couponing....."every little hurts"

I would agree with this, providing of course, in the stores where the £5.99 sign was taken down, there wasnt a £7.99 SEL on the product........but then again, if the product was £5.99 on-line or in a national newspaper/catalogue for instance then the £5.99 should be charged........
Tesco openly admit(somewhere in their pricing policy) that their prices differ in stores, due to say, property rents, and that it isnt their policy to get one store to subsidise another.
Blooming heck.......am I changing sides here!!!!Couponing....."every little hurts"

After my first £5.98 success yesterday I ventured into the battle zone again today, again I came out unscathed this time with £22.74 or organic chickens, this time the SEL was at a price per kg and the item was priced up at a higher £/kg. When I looked surprised at being given a full refund and being told I can keep the product the CS girl told me there are loads of examples in the store and I should go back in and look again!!! I thnked her and said Next week when I do my shop I will be more observent

Hi,
I've been on these sites for quite some time and today
I wanted to share a moment with you all that made me smirk...
I got an R&R today, and the CS assistant was so lovely, she was stressed beyond belief with the store being understaffed, but still managed to be polite and helpful. (phwef, I was expecting some aggro!)
As she was processing the refund and explaining how I get all my money back and the goods for free, she said that she had heard of "a website where all the tesco Mis-prices are listed and "some people" come in and search for the stuff for free... and how lame was that! "I asked if she had the web address as i sure could use some help with my weekly food budget! unfortunately she was unable to tell me!!
I did thank her for being so helpful and said I was off to search the web!!

The shelves were empty in my local - all bar one single box! I don't think the store removed them from sale, as the empty cardboard boxes were still on the shelf. Makes you wonder how much extra money they made on the old stock today. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
