What are your thoughts on the 'Customer Information Unit price is used as a guide only' sign, then?
You're great with info, so would value your opinion.
No worries.
Point to the 'Our Promise' sign and ask the CS staff why there is no reference to the 'guide' on there and emphasise the 'price on the shelf' bit.
Try and get the CS staff to acknowledge the SEL is wrong or misleading - if they do this, you are almost there.
The Tesco CS Manual tells staff that R&R does not cover "minor errors of size description on the SEL".
Of course 'minor' is a subjective term - if you stand your ground, be firm but polite and the CS staff will cave.

Dude, does it help my friends situation that C/S gave a refund on one fresh meat item, but refused on the other two. (they refunded the cheap item on the SEL & pack price difference in that instance, but refused on the more expensive items with the same type of SEL/pack price difference)0

With all this talk of R&R's I'd be suprised if he wasn't a paranoid android!Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

"When I am King (Queen) you will be first against the wall
With your opinions which are of no consequence at all..."
I'd think Marvin would probably be more apt in this case. Do CSAs come fitted with GPPs? Doesn't seem like it at times.
(How's that for two different Paranoid Android references?)
Edited so as not to label ALL CSAs as robots. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Well, if it was me I would certainly be pointing out the inconsistency and asking why CS staff are applying the 'Our Promise' policy on a selective basis.
I would also ask the CS staff if I could borrow their phone and talk to Head Office on 0800 505555 for clarification.
Good luck,

went to local tesco last night and got the mcvities £7.99 should be £5.99
went to customer service and it was the women that hates me!!
I have only done two r&r for bud and that was a nightmare, the second
was for the sweets 2 for £3 she refused to do them so I told her to check
and give the money to charity.
I paid for a evening paper and said I am sure I have been overcharged for
some biscuits, she just looked at me and smiled then walked away.
The question I want to ask is can I take the receipt in today and say
I have just noticed I have been overcharged? this is hoping that the
job worths women is'nt working?
thanks in advance.0 -

Yes - of course you can - as long as the offending SEL is still in place that is.
If the demonic CS lady has removed the SEL and put the correct price on display though, you will be struggling.
His Dudeness
PS Stand firm - don't let CS staff treat you this way - most are pleasant but with a monster like this one I would ask to speak to her boss - and not just walk away!0
