went to TESCO and there was a chicken and the price per kg was higher on the sel than on the packet, but the price £3.80 on the chicken was scanning at £3.80 ( with me)but, isn't it still an overcharge?

Not if the price per kg was HIGHER on the SEL. You should be looking for LOWER price per kg on the SEL, then the chicken will be overpriced.

Hey Dude explained why a lower SEL price per kg is an overcharge a few pages back (if anyone needs to know please check back a good few pages to understand how price per kg works, or search posts by his Dudeness first).

    Can I help?
  • Don't want to speak out of turn here, but would it not be helpful to put Hey Dude's brilliant posts on the sticky at the beginning of the thread?
They cover a lot of information that is useful to newbies on the subject and might save some of the repetitive questions.
