Those photos suck. I hate mine with a passion.

Can't believe anyone can have worse ones.

You could always post yours here and the rest of us can go around and compare it to the other stores around the country :D That way you'll know for certain whether there are any worse ones :D

I have nothing against these two and yes they can provide informative posts, but nobody should forget that ultimately they use these boards to do the prevent misprices within their own stores, I personally don't think they do it to prevent any poor grandma for being overcharged.

I am not attacking either of these two guys/ladies, but lets never forget who they work !.

Don't think they work in the store my friend went to, or my local. If they do they make a miserable job of price error sorting!! hehehe
PS Constantine that was a joke.

Fair point, and that was a bad call on my part. I was using the term "sewer rats" to describe some of the characters I've dealt with at Tesco, but I totally accept there are some saints working for the company who don't deserve to be tarred with the same brush. Sorry.

I'm going to call the RSPCA, I hate it when rats are treated in this dastardly sort of fashion !!! :D :rotfl:
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Thats two nights on the spin for you to have a pop, I must have done something to offend you.

Your right. I make sure the prices are correct in my store, but if I see a little old lady come by I quickly slap a higher SEL on and rub my hands with glee (all the while twirling my long moustache).

Just because you say it is not an attack, does not mean it is not one.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

More like bulldogs near me, any Tesco employees who don't resemble bulldogs excluded.
  • "unit price is a guide only" ?????? Well that must be ok then, SEL states 5.50kg and was charged 8.00 kg but its ok because the SEL is only a rough guess!!
    what utter rubbish!

This is often used when fixed price packs, and there are minor variations in pack weight, if you were to actually weigh them when you got home, (not all 1.5kg chickens are exactly 1.5kg, but they are close enough, for instance, and is a legitimate practice in these circumstances, and it is to avoid this type of minor weight issue.

Can't be used when Kg price determines the total price though.

    Constantine

I don't know you, so I am not going to attack you on a chat forum

My problem is with Tesco and the recent big brother treatment to people who get overcharged in their stores.

I believe most Tesco staff come on here to gleen any information to use in their own stores and prevent mispricing, I don't believe this is done for the benefit of the customers, instead I think they see it as a game and as way of getting one over on the mse 'er. I have seen the personal satisafaction that these guys get from humiliating and intimidating shoppers.

As for you, well as I said I don't have a problem with you.

went to TESCO and there was a chicken and the price per kg was higher on the sel than on the packet, but the price £3.80 on the chicken was scanning at £3.80 ( with me)but, isn't it still an overcharge?

Its not Randrable using the magazine price, as there will be a disclaimer in the magazine re price flunctuations.

The phone maybe RandRable(Ive had some) using the fact there isnt 10% off it.....and the price indicated doesnt include the 10% as all the others on the display give examples of the discount.

There is a notice that says the discount is already off "discontinued" and "Introductory offers", but this one (with its white sel) isnt covered by either of these.

The price shown should not be ambiguous, and the 10% off should relate to that particular phone, which you expected to come off at the till.

But then again I only got 3 out of 6 the other day...so wait maybe for a more conclusive reply.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
