Bought 2 packs of Pringles with the 25% extra free today - 'sour cream and onion' and 'scary cheese' and the discount DIDN'T come off. Bought 2 more in a different store but both were 'sour cream and onion' (as they were the only flavour with the extra 25% free) and the discount DID come off. Therefore it might be that you have to have the cheese flavour for it not to work.

Unfortunately these mistakes are down to the store (rather than HO) so they take them personally.

Did you ask them how they came to the conclusion that you knew they were mispriced.........and how come the person responsible for that department didnt correct it.

When they get in this mood there little you can do (except write to HO to complain), and as you are now "marked" in that store, things will only get worse instead of better in that store. A few of us have been banned for less than this......its unfortunate, but this is the tactics that some of the staff are adopting.

I would try other stores, but pay in cash and don't use a clubcard......this way you cant be "electronically" identified.

The stupid mistake on my behalf was i paid by card. i don't have a clubcard but i thought ill open an account and ask them to add on the points another time (in another store).

They didn't ask me how i knew it was mispriced, they tried to make me feel gulity by saying this bloke will now get the sack because he didn't do his job properly. I did feel really bad but thought it's not his fault. by the way, my work mate just went to tesco and told me the ribs i advised them to take off is still mispriced. If i go there and get a R&R thats asking for trouble or not? I did warn them.

:rotfl: If that was the case after every R&R, there would be few people left at the World's third largest retailer. Methinks they were playing on your 'perceived' kindness. Lesson to be learned: NEVER be kind when dealing with any organisation of this size/kind.

It wasnt really a "stupid" mistake...we've all "been there, done that".....but have now realised that they are using the information from Clubcards to (possibly) keep a database on us(no paranoia shouts please).....so its not now wise to use any type of card for RandRing.......although a (non Tesco)Credit Card only gives your name, and they can't (shouldnt be able to under Data Protection) get any more info on you than that.....But really thats enough to keep an eye on you(if they want) so only use a Credit Card if its a big RandR and you havent got the cash.

Ive had that "person will be reprimanded" line before......Well, we cant do everything in life without slightly hurting others............and if this guy isnt doing his job correctly and little old ladies are being overcharged by his actions, then maybe he should be reprimanded.

As for going back for the "ribs".....its really hardly worth it, unless you "know" the staff have changed", and even then, it would be risky, from which you could end up being banned from the store..........which could take forever for HO to overule(if they're in the mood)...........

I would certainly try and get someone else to get the "riibs" though....or post on here which store it is, so someone else can benefit from them........remembering of course, that an employee from your store may be watching this site (as well as HO). Edit I see you have posted the store...it might not be there now
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

TOTALLY depends on the CS bod IME. A tip: Always take the product back in a Tesco carrier bag. You'd be surprised how efective that is! :D

  • A printout of your online bank statement can also help, specially if it's the only thing on the receipt & the value matches exactly

I spoke to a couple of different CS about this, although it was a high value items (PSP) I enquired about.

They both had the same opinion, that there was no actually policy on this, and it would be down to the duty manager to make that decision.

I would imagine that smaller items could be decided upon by the CS, but again......try and judge the CS before attempting it.

Some smiling, chirpy young person, maybe more tollerant than the elder grim looking CS, with shares and a Pension dependant on the outcome of your return............lol

I believe Constantine commented way back, that if he had an honest request for an exchange, then it would possibly be met with a positive outcome for the customer.(at least thats what I hope he inferred.)

Totally agree with Clasics carrier bag theory.
